I might fail my next Communications 151 speech because of this damned game and I regret nothing. 35~ hours in and it keeps getting better storywise and gameplaywise. The series doesn't look like a PS1 game anymore, which is always a plus! Better characters in general too imo, but I'm a heathen who thought Flonne and Laharl were only average. Protip: 5-2 is the first great powerlevelling spot, so don't waste too much time powerlevelling before then. The main thing you'll be missing from only playing D1 is that you won't know who Axel is, but he's completely hilarious even without playing D2. -- "Duel audio? Amazing. I've never gotten this into the other Disgaea games before either. I might fail my next Communications 151 speech because of this damned game and I regret nothing. 35~ hours in and it keeps getting better storywise and gameplaywise. The series doesn't look like a PS1 game anymore, which is always a plus! Better characters in general too imo, but I'm a heathen who thought Flonne and Laharl were only average.

Protip: 5-2 is the first great powerlevelling spot, so don't waste too much time powerlevelling before then.

The main thing you'll be missing from only playing D1 is that you won't know who Axel is, but he's completely hilarious even without playing D2.
