Augh, trying to get the "not officially confirmed" confirmed characters for SFxT straight... The characters that are in trailers/teasers and almost definitely going to be playable.

Zangief, Rolento, Heihachi, Lili, Cody, Guy, and now Rufus and I think Law. Cody and Guy come into the other cinematic by busting through a sign that says New Challengers, so I think that guarantees them. The way "Marshall's Diner" is incorporated into this trailer makes me think that he's probably confirmed. This isn't Haggar losing (2 on 1!) fight at the very beginning of the trailer and you forgetting about him for the rest of it, nor is it a Shadaloo symbol or "Sodom is watching" put on a dark wall in the middle of the trailer for a couple of seconds. Way too deliberate for him to not be playable, I think. >_>

I don't even know most of these characters having never played a Tekken game but damn if I didn't enjoy that thoroughly. Can't appreciate it on the level you guys can but still enjoyed it.

For%uFEFF everybody asking, Rufus speaks Japanese in this trailer because Capcom keeps their character languages localized, whereas Namco (at least in the Tekken series) has characters mainly speak their native tongue. Hence why Bob and Julia still speak English, and Rufus and Zangief speak Japanese.

His gimmick is mistaking blond guys and other shotoclones for Ken Masters, and since Bob is American, blond hair and blue eyed, and wears red, it actually almost makes sense this time, but for Bob's weight.

Well it was a reference to how Tekken has characters speak their languages as appropriate while SF is localized. It doesn't really make sense, but I don't think it's supposed to.

Actually, I'd guess that Marshall's sign flickering out and falling is more likely a deconfirm, like Dan getting knocked out in the first and (likely) Haggar being pinned in the FF one. I have a feeling that's their sneaky way of saying those characters aren't in. And they already confirmed Dan wasn't, so...

Well, people were reading way too much into other things to show that characters are in the game. The brief Shadaloo symbol and "Sodom is watching" in the Metro City trailer.. People have pointed to splotches in character teaser trailers showing other characters (not the ones being teased). Might be wrong but I think the first of those splotches were just bulls*** and not any sort of hints, but Capcom took notice of people pointing them out and decided to put in some actual, much clearer ones.

Gets more difficult to know when you're reading too much into something when the usual outcome of that was one thing in the past but now has to changed to the opposite, I guess. >_>

Also, I really hope that Rufus manages to think that Kuma is Ken at some point and they justify it by using Kuma's red bandana. >_>

Yeah, Capcom took notice of people trying to find characters in ink splotches, and actually put characters in ink splotches. I don't think you CAN be reading too much into these trailers anymore, since they're now being really deliberate.
