the free super saver shipping is amazing. if you are expecting to get a game when it releases, you shouldn't be getting it though. it tells you that usually it takes 5-8 business days. that does not include weekends. I have used amazon for years and only like once or twice has it taken longer than 5-8 business days, while it has come earlier than that pretty often. but you still need to be prepared for the worst.
pre-orders for games are NEVER to benefit you, the consumer. it is to let companies know how many copies they need to stock.

That was 5 days ago, don't tell me it takes 5 days to get to a city a province away, goddamn.
It does if it's the lowest possible priority and they fill up trucks with normal shipping items and older free items. Really it's your fault for expecting the free shipping to work like paid shipping.

Donny: Are they gonna hurt us, Walter? Walter: No, Donny. These men are cowards.
The estimated shipping date was yesterday though ! Usually Amazon is spot on or completely wrong in the sense that it comes much sooner than that sooo when it goes over I get impatient really freaking fast. And post already came, got a ****ty ad thing and a crappy magazine.

Still nothing today, if I don't have it tomorrow I'll just cancel the order and go buy it at gamestop. Don't feel like going through another weekend being almost completely bored.

Um, this looks like the post office fault, not Amazon. Once they ship something out they can't control how fast it travels. And I always use Free Super Saver Shipping. I usually get my stuff in 3-4 days.
From: Ayuyu | #026 But then it takes much longer to get.
When a game from Canada takes longer to deliver than freaking CDs imported from South Korea there's a problem.
No, no.
There's obviously something wrong with your order, but you're supposed to get it the day it comes out if it's a high-profile release. Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Portal 2 I both got the Tuesday they came out. Of course, I had Amazon Prime back then so maybe it was exclusive to that? I'll see when Dark Souls releases, I guess. <_<"
Good luck though, I hope you actually get your stuff. I'd figure out who you need to complain to if I were you.
I'll complain if I don't get it tomorrow, it says 5 to 8 business day usually and it's only the 7th today, I'm mad because the estimate was the 13th and I trust Amazon when it comes to this. If I don't get it tomorrow on the 8th business day then I'll complain to Canada Post I guess.

I submitted a ticket to Canada Post after reading a while on the website and seeing that Expedited Parcels are guaranteed to be shipped on the estimated date, my game was under that category and the estimated date was the 12th so there's definitely a problem.

Well I,m not sure actually, I don't see business day mentioned anywhere on Canada Post website when it comes to parcels, it's there for letters though.

Rad Link 5 posted... I always just pick Standard Shipping and wait patiently. And I'm not even a patient person!
I consider myself an extremely patient person when I'm not given an expected timeframe for something to happen. I can wait for days and days when I don't know approximately until when I have to wait, but if you tell me I'll have to wait until a said day or hour and nothing happen on that day/hour then I'll get impatient really fast.

That's exactly why I just order it and forget about it. Even if I do look at the estimated delivery date, I just don't think about it.
I've had things show up a few weeks late without me even remembering I ordered it as a result, but it's better than getting all annoyed that something still hasn't showed up like I used to.

Well for most stuff I'm that way, like music CDs, game guides and stuff. But when I order a game I really look forward to play it so that's why I like to have it on time. I can just listen to my music on Youtubes and Game Guides I just buy because I enjoy to read them while on the toilet.
