Draft is simply not going to work, much as I like it. There's no method to do it that isn't super inconvenient for everyone involved. Therefore, let's do a sealed deck tournament.
If you aren't aware, for Sealed Deck you'll get several boosters from a set/block and make a deck solely from those and any number of the basic lands. We'll use ccgdecks to simulate Sealed Decks packs, and then build them on Magic Workstation. Beyond that, we'll rely on the honor code.
Now, the next question is what set? I'd suggest either Ravnica which received a lot of support last time, or the most recent block, ie Scars of Mirrodin. Don't think 2012 would be a good idea in this format.

I'll be in on this. When I'm not refusing to play a "good" deck in constructed I'm actually pretty good at this game...!
I'd wanna do like uh... Planar Chaos or Time Spiral. I took a long break during these sets and kicked myself thinking "man I wish I was playing around this time it seems awesome"

I dunno, a normal number like 16. We don't need to limit the number or split up like we did with Draft, fortunately.

Well, obviously M12 is designed for new players and Ravnica isn't, but I'm not exactly an experienced player myself and it's not really a big difference.

with the tournament I started on GameFAQs, people we're able to get Magic Workstation to play Magic with other people online.
Playing friendlies here on b8 seems to be getting a bit popular

draft is a lot different than sealed. Sealed you can just identify which cards/colours are good and play them. Drafting Ravnica is a little different than drafting other sets because of the guild setup.
I like the idea of Innistrad, but we'd probably have to wait a bit to have access to it.
magicdraftsim already has it up so we can make sealed pools today, but I'm not sure how quickly MWS sets come out. In theory it should be out any minute now when people have time to make it, all the required things are on the internet.

Were double-faced cards really necessary? I don't see how they're different mechanically than those cards in Kamigawa block that turned upside down to become something else.
Looks like it'll be M12. As for Diffuser... If we got a bunch more people I'd be able to fit you in, but I don't think that's likely.

Kinda lame. I probably play more magic than most people here combined. I didn't see this until now because I was out last night...playing magic. Really wanted in on this. But oh well. Maybe we can find 15 more people.
