Technically, "The protagonist of Suikoden II" doesn't have an official name, but everyone calls him Riou.

Friends forced to be enemies by fate, both working towards similar goals by conflicting means... that's a pretty convincing rivalry to me. And it's from one of the best games ever.

Also, I still want Frank West/Chuck Greene.

I'd lean more towards Riou vs Luca Blight.

Shu vs Leon Silverberg maybe.

Best real rivalry of the series though is probably the Prince vs Gizel Godwin.

None of them stand a chance of making it in though.

Jowy/Luca Blight... They are the two best characters of that game, and even though you fight them both, they're definitely rivals...
