You can. Microsoft Points are the same thing as real money, just without precise conversion to dollars.

You can buy anything off of the Xbox Live Marketplace with MS points. If it is in dollars just change it to points and it will show how much points it will cost.

Pun, are you aware it's not actually HD? It's just a new release of the game, it's a direct port with achievements.

when you look at an Xbox games on demand, they say "$19.99" or whatever the price is, instead of "1600 Microsoft Points" or whatever

so I assumed it could only be purchased via a credit card since it was demanding U.S. Currency, but yea, you can actually switch the option to pay in MS points

so yea, learn something new everyday

Because Games on Demand cost $20-$60, which would be ridiculous numbers of points, 1600-4800. They give you the option to pay in regular dollars so you don't have to load up on so many points.
