Um, it's not even close to forcing it.

Not only can they select their own house of worship, they can choose not to utilize the program at all, and go to a secular house of worship, also known as jail.

it's not really forcing at all. It's actually pretty lenient of them

What I would like to know is if they could choose a synagogue or a mosque. Or if it has to be a church.

You can go to jail for a misdemeanor. if the offense is punishable by more than a year of jail time, it's a felony.
