I don't think Nolan and Bale's interpretation of Batman, the way he acts and sounds, has any room for romance at all. It's just going to be awkward. I mean, I want stuff like Catwoman, Nightwing, and Robin in Batman movies, I really do, but I don't see any of them working along with the way that character has been portrayed here at all. It would be weird with this Batman, and this Bruce Wayne just looks far too young for it.

Also this. Seriously, Gyllenhal is not good-looking. And my friend said "if you don't think she's sexy, watch The Secretary". So I did. It made me actually like her less.

I preferred Katie Holmes as Rachel, honestly. She's not a great actress, but she was decent enough, and hot. Unlike Rachel in the second movie, who was ugly as f*** and annoying too.

As for Anne Hathaway, I'm perfectly fine with her being Catwoman, I think she'll be fine. She at least won't bring the movie down, I have too much faith in Nolan for that to happen.

yeah. and a better actress than any woman nolan has cast previously. that guy just can't write women.

i think hathaway will be fine. she's a good actress with a wide range. she'll have a nolan script and a terrible costume to work against, but I'm hopeful.

edit: forgot about cotillard, who has had a few very good roles, but I'd still take Gyllenhall's career over her's.

I will say, the first impression I'm getting is Nolan isn't quite doing Catwoman justice, seems like she'll be a much more "normal" character than I'd like.

But, of course, I'll give the benefit of the doubt, I'm sure she'll at least be fairly decent, movie looks boss. I agree the lack of going for it with the costume is also weird, I mean Batman wears a cool mask, it's not too over the top to have other characters doing it.

Well, Maggie Gyllenhaal essentially ruined Dark Knight, but not really because it was still a great movie. Anne Hathaway is actually hot, so she is guaranteed to be an infinitely better love interest than the absolutely disgusting b**** that is Maggie, who I literally wouldn't want to touch with your piece.

yes but it's not anything new, if maggie gyllenhaal couldn't sink the dark knight there's little reason to think that ann hathaway could ruin it either, even if she is also terrible

Katie Holmes was more annoying than Maggie (although yes, more attractive), but she didn't ruin Begins so I trust Nolan on these things.

Rashida Jones has a much better figure than Maggie G. Watch secretary. It's a movie that could make any actress a sexy person and Maggie G can't pull it off. Heath Ledger is a fantastic actor, though. Watch "10 Things I Hate About You"--absolutely fantastic movie; definitely in my top three comedies. Hollywood seems to have this big glass ceiling between comedy and drama, but truth be told for the most part acting skill is acting skill.

(I don't know enough about Anne Hathaway to comment on her acting talent, however--I'm not sure I've actually seen any of her movies).
