Okay, so I’m going for Excalibur II and I’m playing on PS3 so I can’t skip FMVs. I’m not too worried though, because everything I’ve heard suggests this is comfortably doable, especially since I don’t care about a perfect game, a level 1 game, or any of that. I just want the Excalibur II.

So anyway, I do all the boring stuff in the config screen, and also toss in the blue window setting just because.

Off to a good start… Mage Masher stolen in less than one full turn! Good, that makes up for the extra time choosing an unnecessary config setting >_>
I quickly shuffle over to the steeple and, after getting flattened by a Moogle, save.

Alright, I decided before starting this that I don’t care about the 100 nobles. I am going to give it an honest try or three, but if I can’t do it, then I’m just moving on. I’m not going to get stuck here doing it over and over. I found it to be damn near impossible on my PS2, and maybe it was something about my PS2, or the controller, or whatever, but I’m going in with the expectation that I will fail and just move on.

First try… 95 nobles. Yeah, screw this. Wish something this impactful didn’t occur right at the beginning when I just want to get on with the damn thing, but whatever. The money and the moonstone are not critical.

Time to round up the damn Knights of Pluto and watch a bunch of cutscenes and fight Steiner watch a bunch of cutscenes and fight Steiner and the Bomb and watch a bunch of cutscenes.

Well, I got a Silk Shirt out of the first Steiner fight, so there’s something.

I probably shouldn't have to tell you to avoid using summons.

Probably not going to have a lot of MP throughout the game anyway, so that doesn't seem like a hard thing to avoid.

Not too hard; I was surprised with just how easy it was.

I'm too tired to drive anywhere, anyway, right now, do you care if I praise Black Turtle?
