Okay, so Im going for Excalibur II and Im playing on PS3 so I cant skip FMVs. Im not too worried though, because everything Ive heard suggests this is comfortably doable, especially since I dont care about a perfect game, a level 1 game, or any of that. I just want the Excalibur II.
So anyway, I do all the boring stuff in the config screen, and also toss in the blue window setting just because.
Off to a good start
Mage Masher stolen in less than one full turn! Good, that makes up for the extra time choosing an unnecessary config setting >_>
I quickly shuffle over to the steeple and, after getting flattened by a Moogle, save.

Alright, I decided before starting this that I dont care about the 100 nobles. I am going to give it an honest try or three, but if I cant do it, then Im just moving on. Im not going to get stuck here doing it over and over. I found it to be damn near impossible on my PS2, and maybe it was something about my PS2, or the controller, or whatever, but Im going in with the expectation that I will fail and just move on.
First try
95 nobles. Yeah, screw this. Wish something this impactful didnt occur right at the beginning when I just want to get on with the damn thing, but whatever. The money and the moonstone are not critical.

Time to round up the damn Knights of Pluto and watch a bunch of cutscenes and fight Steiner watch a bunch of cutscenes and fight Steiner and the Bomb and watch a bunch of cutscenes.
Well, I got a Silk Shirt out of the first Steiner fight, so theres something.
