I will probably be playing a bit again this age. I don't really want to HC or LD somewhere (maybe if we got a really big following on b8, but that could wait a few ages while we shake the rust off)
2) it's kind of like a real-time risk, but with cities instead of countries, and you are simply 1 commander for your country. It takes a group effort for your country to win.

I am happy to teach people to play and I have spent many long hours doing so and so if you choose to use my code I will get some small in game benefits (as to reward my efforts) and it wont effect your account at all. So ask me what is is before making an account please.
4) Don't know which country I'm starting in yet, I'll probably wait until 1:15 or 1:30 and join some place fairly empty, but if enough b8ers decide to play this age maybe we'll organize something sooner.
I guess that's about it for now. I've written some guides on how to start playing and could be bothered to find and/or recreate them if someone wants me to, though i find its better to simply have a 1 on 1 conversation about the game, which I am also happy to do. So yeah, guess that's it for now.
Also if you are interested in playing but can't be online right when the age starts, don't sweat it. The ages last 2-3 weeks or so most of the time and so it isn't a big deal to not join a country right when the age starts.
I joined last age in day 12 I think and still finished top 30 ranking in only 9 days. (the age went a full 21 days)
Don't want people to think its absolutely necessary to bend your schedule around backward to play this game. (It does help mind you, but don't feel forced)
I'll be playing again, but I probably won't be able to do anything until 10 est though. That last asia age was terrible though...they need to roll out an update and revamp the Asia age.

if i had more time i'd play, but i always get way too caught up in the game. It's literally impossible for me not to. Even when I start a game telling myself i'm just gonna train some, join some SFs, etc, it always ends up with me being HC and planning wheels and being up all night, and i dont have time with that anymore.
If so how did that work out in terms of having the cash to float them along?
I never went under 20k, and around the Lieutenant ranks, I actually had 60k+. When I rebuilt, I could afford to get about 12 std rank Vikings along with the apprentice ones. Might have just got lucky with heals and captures, but I usually dismissed with foots.
Hopefully if novgo dies I don't take any deaths =P

Well in my experience pikes are better for getting to (or very near to) Gen because the pikes are MUCH less likely to injure than swords, but footies are cheaper until around cap* or cap** when they start taking a lot more injuries than the spear armies.
But yeah, my run stopped just short of VM
Then my next run I only get 300 XP before a commander injury, lol.
Rebuilt at Cap*** anyways so I guess it wasn't noticable! Should have waited for gen though, gah. Taking forever to get there. At least I'm hardcapping easily.
And hah, that sucks. Hate unproductive runs like that, but a comm injury's just bad luck.
It's probably best if you get to VM so you're harder for lower ranks to PvP before our inevitable country death >_>

People should log in and quickrank to blue and join the main just to make us harder to kill off. Cole + others you probably have time for that much at least.
If you're just ranking, not much at all. You join an IRC channel, they tell you to click a few times every 2 or 3 hours you're online, and you're usually set. It's best if you put in maybe an hour a day, but as long as you check in a few times a day to join the main army after big fights, you're usually gonna be doing your country some good just with your presence.
If you wanna be there for most of the action as a ranker, you'll need to check in every two to three hours at specified times to conquer territories or train your army. The longest it'll take it thirty minutes maybe if some ninja s***'s going on, but these battles usually take place over ten minutes. It's not that TLK takes up a lot of time, you just need to be there at the right time and that requires a lot of remembering... or alarms >_>
PvP, much less. You sit at a low rank and wait for armies to collide to pick off a bunch of weaker guys.
If you're actually a leader or High Command in a country, though... you get no sleep. I'm sure FD can attest to that. >_>
