Anyways, I really, really doubt the labyrinth would come into play anyways. Kurama is good, but he isn't good enough to take on the Mugan, let alone the face thingies.

Yeah to be frank a moon size thing would just fall on the battlefield if Kurama somehow managed to take out the lowest tier mugann (which even if he DID he wouldn't know about its failsafe of BLOWING EVERYTHING THE **** UP upon defeat) lol

she did it better because she broke out without needing a speech or anything. hell, i don't get where you're coming from when you say his initial actions affected anyone. you can't be arguing 'well viral got out after he saw simon!' and argue yoko didn't snap out of it on her own since she did it before he ever showed up or did anything of note to her. she called the scene wrong, saw the memories were wrong, turned off the tv to a setting change, then got the drill and went over to the flying simon.

there's no implication that simon's initial actions affected anyone. there's the implication he can go to the others' conciousness, but that's really about it. there's nothing there saying that if simon didn't do anything she wouldn't have, but instead you clearly see her, without any interference of anything, knowing this isn't right. there also is absolutely NOTHING saying anything about the person was changed, but EVERYTHING saying nothing was through both simon and yoko. it's a mind attack and visualization and these guys didn't really have any mental defenses of any sort. even then, recognizing something's wrong is very clearly an indication that you're the exact same person you were mind trick'd to. you didn't change at all. you got put into a different setting and know it's wrong. how you get that somehow they were ANY different mentally is beyond me as none of what you said there is in the show.



and it's not a smart move because if you want to kill a group, you don't go with a slow torture method. if that was the best he could do then sure, it'd make sense. but as we learned soon afterwards, it really wasn't even close to it and really just something to make 'em depressed and screw 'em slowly.

I had another wall written up, but it got eaten. I'm just gonna stop arguing the labyrinth now because at this point it's more interp than fact, and the labyrinth is utterly irrelevant anyways.

And slow depressing methods actually work better on spiral beings. If you just hit them with something huge they just go "rawr" and destroy it most of the time. The machine was supposed to make that impossible due to the conversion thing. Also, this had been done countless times before, there was no reason to fix what wasn't broken.

Again: my question is whether AS automatically starts by throwing some mugann thing at Kurama. The way I see it, AS is present for the fight, and it would be silly otherwise. So does he just stand back and hurl some lesser beings at Kurama, or does he go for the psychological warfare? I haven't really gotten a good answer on this yet, and if I did I missed it. =/


Well we have been arguing (and ken was talking about) if chilling in one of his zones would be ok if he could still stomp. IMO AS himself probably wouldn't get personally involved unless he had to (as in the enemy was that broken). Further evidenced of him mentioning of "being weary of dealing with spiral beings" its kinda like

"hey take out the trash"

if you could wave your hands and just have some construct you summon out of nothing do it for you then well..

Its just how AS is. As someone said he never really gets personally involved unless you prove to be THAT annoying (as someone said he probably never shown up personally to the fight until Simon's crew (as basically everyone else prior got roflstompd by AS super black hole sub space thing.)

Even though the way I stated is most likely how he would fight / deal with his enemies if you want to look at it from the "go to your level" perspective that you find more interesting. AS is still going to win.

If he were playing chess against a guy who could see 50 moves ahead. He is gonna see 60 moves ahead.

I just want to add that Viral DID obtain Spiral Power. Even though he was literally impossible for him to ever gain Spiral Power, he was just so awesome and around so much other Spiral Power he was able to generate it himself. Check the movie, he was in his own Lagann and generated his own massive robot under his own power.

We kick logic to the curb and do the impossible!

^ Could also say that Viral was "touched by Spiral Power" when Spiral King pulled his own hax on Viral. Being around spiral god mode hax simon + crew is just more reason I guess lol.

What? No. Either I'm forgetting something, or this is completely groundless. As far as I can recall, it is in no way demonstrated that the anti-spiral would be inherently better than his opponent at something he chose to replicate.

Of course, if I have forgotten something what would support this, could you point out where that would be?

That shows that he's good at a few specific things. Considering his long history of battling spiral races, it's hardly surprising that he's skilled at fleet vs fleet combat and fighting in a giant robot. That's far from adequate proof that he's automatically good at everything.

So, what exactly is spiral power anyway? I was under the assumption it was more a fancy word for willpower, since that's how basically everyone's been using it. If so, Kurama and the likes of the main cast of YYH have it in spades.

Any case, the Anti Spiral overhype seems pretty ridiculous if he honestly does do or say any of the stuff said in this topic. Seems like he's more likely than anything to act like a Ditto that COULD transform into a god if it wanted to, but instead just transforms into whatever he thinks he's fighting. But I mean, if you die while transformed into a human, you're still dead so that's a dumb choice to make.

that's pretty mcuh it on both accounts there - it's really just willpower. no different than what you see with other giant robot shows or green lantern on that regard (though without any need of a power ring or... anything). willpower that's exclusive to those who can evolve (see: breed). pretty much every shounen character in existence has pulled that off.

but yeah, he just scales power there. with power comes parameters, but never does he scale to intelligence. his 'better than you' deal is a physical one, not the rest of who you are. genome's existence alone pretty much settles that much.

I would think the fight shows it

When Viral was doing his part when TTGL was attacking (Viral is basically a master swordsman) he charged at Grand Zamboa and they had a sort of "sword showdown". AS won. When Spiral King was in charge AS basically sent something to counter and stompd Spiral Kings group on that level (fleet vs fleet) though Spiral Kings scenario I am not sure that could have just been them getting to like tier 2 of Anti Spirals "tiers of rape" lol (aka tier 2 mugann the giant ship ones.)

Sounds like willpower's a property of the universe, but I assume Anti-Spiral relies on the opposite based on writeup.

If anone has willpower, within context of an Anti Spiral match I'd assume it functions as well as any Spiral Power would, and most fictional characters have stupidly good willpower regardless of power (like Little Mac). If not, why would Anti Spiral selectively have access to only some of the properties of his universe without applying all of them?

It'd be like with Neo/Agent Smith being in the matrix (since that's their peak power area), but then ignoring the fact that with creative thinking or some very odd powers, you could exploit the fact that they're in the matrix (ie: destroy source of matrix or Neo's body while he's in it).
