Both Uncharted games on Crushing can be brutal in some spots. Gotta have a strategy for each of those big fights.

chapter select deciding to up and disappear on me when i started that forced new game after completion is also just... ugh. i wont be able to do the stupidity justice i really have to play through twice to get it to actually be f***ing useful? I bet if I use ill lose the later chapters, anyway! whats the f***ing point

maybe it disappeared because i chose "new game" instead of straight up continuing and it was still there before then? (even though ive always chosen to carry over medals/treasures) maybe because ive chosen a new game of crushing at some point?

I assume it'd be hard to compare them since they're very different kinds of games. I didn't find any of the GoW games that hard on highest though. Challenging sure, but not undoable.

You should still be able to choose Chapter Select in the main menu, though IIRC you can't skip ahead of chapters and complete them on "Crushing" and then come back to the others. You still have to go in order, through the full game, when you start on a new difficulty. If you're wanting it for treasures, you should still be able to choose.

Well, yeah, I can choose it, but just from what I've completed on the most recent playthrough. Even if I do another Hard playthrough.

and you cant choose chapter select when you only have the first chapter so i guess thats why i said it disappeared instead of "i have to go build the stupid f***ing thing back up again"

Hmm. That's weird. Maybe I'm confusing UC1 and UC2, but I thought you could choose a chapter and the difficulty. Did you save over your original file?

I thought GoW 1&2 were both pretty easy on the highest difficulty, aside from those challenge things, but those were pretty doable as well.
GoW 3 was a pain in the ass, but only at a couple spots(Spider fight and Zeus fight), other than that I thought it was relatively easy.

Uncharted games are kind of hard, but are also like the GoW games, where it's pretty decent when it comes to the difficulty it just has a couple of bad spots that will really piss you off.

The Pandora's Box fight was hard too.. and those fire demons in GoW3 on hardest

GoW was pretty easy on the hardest difficulties.

UC2 I didn't have a problem with.

UC1 I have been slowly completing for the past year and a half!
