-Matches will last exactly 24 hours. Votes after that much time has elapsed will not be counted, even if a new topic hasn't gone up yet. -This is a contest to determine which character is the most *powerful*. Vote only for the character you think would win in a fight, not the one who's funnier, cooler, or sexier. If you don't do that I can't count your vote. -BOLD YOUR VOTE. Unbolded votes will NOT be counted. -Rallying is allowed. Alts are not. -Fights will take place in a neutral terrain. This does not necessarily mean a *featureless* terrain: assume that both characters will have a chance to use all of their skills to the fullest here, barring setting-specific abilities and anything that requires the presence of multiple enemies (but see below). -Characters start the fight alone. They don't bring allies with them, like Kerrigan and the Zerg Swarm for instance. Summons are allowed though, provided they're brought once combat has started. -Fighters retain their usual personalities. They won't fight to kill unless that's their MO, and won't spam their best attacks to win unless, again, that's how they act in their original media. -Similarly, fighters are unaware of their opponents capabilities at the start of the fight unless their powers facilitate them information (like knowing all there is to know in the universe - this would include who the opponent is and what he can do, as well as weaknesses) -You don't have to justify your vote, but it helps. If you feel like you can add something to the debate, go right ahead! -Seriously, BOLD THE VOTE. So important it bears repeating. -Bracket Link, for viewing past results and future matches: http://www.bracketmaker.com/tmenu.cfm?&tid=408528&tclass=
Past Results: A low-scoring match gives us the first tie of the tournament, as neither NoN Lelouch nor Agent Smith are able to emerge victorious! Who will advance to Round 2 to face the Anti Spiral? Let's find out! Votals: 6-6 (So far)
(2) NoN Lelouch
From Code Geass: Nightmare of Nunally, Lelouch is a brilliant strategist who leads a rebellion against the Britannian Empire. Lelouch's special Geass ability gives him access to an suit of armor that enhances all of his natural physical abilities to the point of allowing him to dodge and fight giant robots. He has access to the special DOM system to disable any electronic devices or vehicles surrounding him, as well as strong telekinesis, able to stop attacks like an array of projectiles 360 degrees around him traveling faster than the speed of sound.
Lelouch's armor grants him amazing defenses, protecting him from attacks ranging from being punched by giant robots to being shot by an array of weapons (from hand guns to giant lasers) to no effect. Lelouch can even shrug off the pseudo-magical Geass abilities that are used against him. The armor's cape can act as an additional shield and can be used as a weapon as well. Lelouch can summon his robot, Gawain, at any time. This robot is the same as the one seen in Code Geass, armed with a wide variety of laser attacks and capable of flight.

From The Matrix, Agent Smith is an AI programmed to maintain order and punish disorder in the fictional reality of the Matrix. Though he first appears very business-like and focused on pragmatism, Smith becomes significantly more individualistic than other Agents, exhibiting emotions such as sadism, rage, and sense of purpose.
Smith has the ability to overtake any virtual human body in the Matrix. He can manipulate the Matrix to grant himself speed and strength beyond the capabilities of other humans; he can dodge bullets, punch through concrete, and jump large distances, and exhibits limited combat precognition. Smiths weapon of choice is a Desert Eagle handgun.

-Precognitive due to absorbing The Oracle, at least in the short term. -Tremendous dodging skills: in general, if it's a projectile and isn't extraordinarily large, it can be assumed that an Agent is capable of dodging it. -Super-speedy flight, which generates sonic booms and is powerful enough to draw cars, window glasses, and lampposts in its wake to create a vortex of scrap. -Assimilation, which transforms the enemy into a clone, seems to be unblockable, though interpretations may vary. -A cross-counter punch between Neo and Smith generated a large enough shockwave to stop the rain from falling -The Super Burly Brawl, Smith's final battle with Neo. Gives an idea of his abilities:

DC unfortunately voted five minutes late. So the tiebreaker goes on.

From: redrocket | #009 What are the rules for the tiebreaker?
24 hours, revotes allowed, mercies allowed (if the opinion on the match swings massively), more information heartily encouraged.

Matches in MPFC have always worked like this: in the event of a tie the match is extended 24 hours. I don't see a reason to deviate from the format when it works.

I still think Lelouch seems to have a more impressive showing.

"As the size of an explosion increases, the number of social situations it is incapable of solving approaches zero." -Vaarsuvius, Order of the Stick
This is during the second big battle for Zero and his team. Zero and a handful of extra guys takes out 60% of the enemy's robot forces. These robots are destroyed, not just disabled. You see Zero taking out a couple of guys in the first scan. Two high-ranking generals of the enemy army then charge at Zero. Zero dodges these attacks and uses his DOM system and his cape attack to disable the two robots. The last scan show Zero taking out the highest-ranking officer and her robot by disabling it at a distance.
This is Zero fighting the Lancelot, probably the best or second-best robot in the manga. The Lancelot kicks Zero in the stomach and send him flying into a ruined building in the distance. Zero takes no damage from the attack. Zero's cape attack is also seen in better detail; it sends out large tendrils that can slice through robots.
These scans show Zero dodging the Lancelot and getting behind the robot faster than the pilot can see.
Zero can use his powers to do telekinesis as well. This scene is from a later fight in the manga. The enemy fires missiles that shoot out large balls in all directions at faster than the speed of sound. Zero easily stops all these balls (although we can't see all around him we can assume he stopped them all since he doesn't get hit). He then proceeds to almost teleport behind the enemy and shoot the balls back at her at what looks like the same speed.
Zero is shown to be invincible, from ordinary weapons...
.... as well as from huge robot guns.
Another look at Zero's cape attack.
Zero is also shown to be resistant to Geass abilities. Zero's enemy has the ability to freeze anything, even time. Zero's hand is frozen, and the enemy shoots him point blank with a gun mounted on his robot's arm. Zero is unaffected by this attack and in the next scene, his hand is perfectly fine.
Zero can summon his robot, Gawain, simply out by saying its name. This is explained as a quantum shift, an ability both Zero and his brother are shown doing.
One of Gawain's attacks, a giant laser that comes out from one of the robot's shoulders (both shoulders can shoot this laser). Gawain can also fly. This Gawain (and really, every robot in NoN save for the new ones) appears identical to the Gawain in the anime, so anything the anime Gawain could do this Gawain should be able to do as well.

You beat yourself up with your past. Don't blame yourself, blame the world. Blame God. Blame me.
Why would Lelouch be unable to hit Smith? Between precognition, flight, and the speed, he'd got him pegged easy enough.
Smith never melee fights in a notably fast way to dodge. He tries to armbar everything instead. Which would get his arm broken straight off or grabbed and his face smashed in.
NoN Lelouch.

I have no idea who you are, but I thank you for arousing me. - Beruga Brawl FC: 3823-8243-5663
When C.C. dies Lelouch inherits her powers, becoming the Demon King. This gives him three specific abilities: Immortality, Ability to give Geass powers to anyone, and Ability to use any Geass power shown previous. His immortality is in the form of quick regeneration, another character with the same immortality gets his head cut off, then instantly regrows it. Lelouch gets a plethora of extra Geass powers to use, including:
"The Speed" (allows him to hyper-accelerate all objects within a given radius by manipulating gravitational pulls, gives supersonic speed and reflexes to himself and his robot) "The Power" (increases physical strength even more, can be used in conjuction with robots to increase their power as well) "The Land" (can accurately map any terrain in sight instantly in their mind) "The Order" (precognition/futuresight, can accurately identify the positions of targets within a given range and precisely calculates their probable movement trajectories) "The Ice" (able to freeze anything, even time) "The Refrain" (Mao's geass power, allows him to read the minds of anyone within a 500 meter radius and 300 meter high, either all at once or from a specific individual if he concentrates, though his range is reduced when he focuses on a single target) "The Dead Rise" (another form of immortality, can use it to resurrect others as well) - can read the futures of people around him (precognition of the next few events and full future reading) - can grow wings and fly.
Also, something not in the original feats:
Lelouch can use his cape as an additional shield, and use it teleport around.
Basically, he goes into the orb and the orb shrinks and disappears.

Also, I should mention this now, Lelouch also has The Zero. It's described as being able to "turn anything/any creation into nothing", so it's pretty vague. He's used it to get out of a soul-binding contract, and it can also be used to travel through and alter alternate dimensions.

Damn, and here I thought Lelouch couldn't get any more hax, and then he turned into Kumagawa.
... I would have liked to see Kumagawa in this contest, actually.

oh so its a revoting thing or are the people who are voting who voted in other topic votes stay the same?
and I think Smith's blows are more than anything Lelouch has encountered. final fight basically
to be frank I think they are really moving way faster (since as stated there have been after image feats before this fight and Smith is top tier at this point)
Neo basically realizes at the end he isn't going to defeat Smith the conventional way. Everytime he smashes Smith he just gets back up more pissed off.

Actually, The Zero is his and Nunnally's geass that he inherits the full power of at the end of the manga. Lelouch's side manifests as all these powers, while Nunally's has some powers (precognition), but her main thing was with alternate dimensions.

still Lelouch. just matches better; has his own precog to counter smith's and about a million more powers and his mech. numbers advantage and powers advantage.

Well if we are bringing numbers into this think Smith is allowed to summon his army of Smiths (or even just his usual two extra agents) it would be cool seeing a 3 on 1 like that XD

Let's see, I'm trying to find a good video of the Lancelot albion, probably the best mech Lelouch fights. The mechs (and some Geass abilities, you see The Order in use in this link) in NoN and the anime are identical, so it should be OK to use anime scenes just to show.
Note that Lelouch also has true "read the future" futuresight as well as that "predict the next movements" type seen in the video.

You beat yourself up with your past. Don't blame yourself, blame the world. Blame God. Blame me.
There are new NoN-only mechs that might be better (like the one that gets enhanced with The Speed), but I was trying to find a video to better compare.
