It's a tag team contest. Nothing more. Because there isn't separate fanbases per team, the most popular character in each team will be the one voted for. Red/Blue is as strong as Red was in the last contest he was in. No way is he getting by Luigi. Cloud/Sephiroth is as strong as Cloud is and will offer no competition to Link. There will be no "boost" based on how popular you think a rivalry is. The only "boost" that will take place is determined by what games people are playing, and what fanbase is on this site at the time of the matches.
