That being said, the only way Giancarlo doesn't win the Emmy is if they give it to Aaron Paul since they'll both be up for Best Supporting Actor.

I'm probably one of the bigger Mad Men fans on this board, and one of few who put it on the level with Breaking Bad, but I have no earthly idea what Mad Men can do to surpass Breaking Bad now. "Blowing Smoke" and "Shut the Door, Have a Seat" are tremendous episodes, but I don't know that there's anything in that universe that has stakes as big as Breaking Bad had last night.

it was from the pov of gus' car. i don't think it was mike at all, though he'll certainly be a big part of season 5 Really? It just seems like an odd angle for it to simply be a POV from Gus' car. But I suppose you could be right. Also, I have to say the music really made this episode for me. The music in Breaking Bad is usually pretty good/fitting, but they really nailed it on this finale. It made the scene with Gus and Hector particularly intense, and the end song just fit wonderfully, lyrics and all. The "We have work to do" scene was probably my favorite scene, just because I love seeing Jesse and Walt working together and them destroying the lab was a rather cathartic moment. -- Ginhyun http://img.imgcake.com/nio/7ginpngam.png ... Yeah, well written finale to make me look forward A LOT to season five, i wasn't a big fan of seasons 3 and 4 (when compared to the first two) but now that they have gotten rid of the "bigger" problem, now the show can go back to its roots for season 5, can't wait.

I'm aware of that, but those are two different shots. The shot at the end when Walt is driving away makes it clear that it's from the inside of the car. When Walt and Jesse are talking on the roof, you don't see any part of the car in the frame; I'm not even entirely convinced it lines up with where the car actually is.
I'm probably looking too deeply into nothing, but Breaking Bad tends to take small, seemingly insignificant things and make them significant (Ted tripping over the rug when he goes to open the door for Skyler, the gun pointing at the plant) so I never really know what to think. -- Ginhyun http://img.imgcake.com/nio/7ginpngam.png ... the angle's different because walt's in a different spot relative to the camera; further, there is no need to show the car in the first shot. it's more symbolic - gus was parked higher in the garage than anyone else when he left the car there, now the camera is looking up at walt, one level above
