I don't know if Other M (and Prime 3, I guess) is enough to turn Samus's character. She is the archetypal loner badass. Their criteria mentions needing to be part of a team. I suppose that's also what disqualified Duke.

But Doomguy was part of a team. His team's dead, yeah, but he was still part of a larger group of marines. Isn't Duke being solo, period, part of who he is.

God they are bad for having the worst #1's on about half of their lists.

meh, they just don't want to have boring generic lists with the exact same top 10 everywhere.

If you take SA for what it is, then its fine, if you want a super serious top 10 list, you ain't gonna get it from them.

They've often been hit and miss, but hey their top 10 peripheral list was cool enough.
