He was on the Sox but he was terrible.

Deion Sanders is who I was thinking of for sure. Thanks!

That was my first thought, then I remembered Deion.

Jordan was never an MLB player. You're probably thinking of Bo Jackson.

Deion Sanders is the only person ever to play in both the World Series and the Super Bowl.

He played minor league. If you watch Space Jam, you'll see he played for a team called the "Barons" I think. It was not major league.

"In 1994, Jordan played for the Birmingham Barons, a Double-A minor league affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, batting .202 with three home runs, 51 runs batted in, 30 stolen bases, and 11 errors."

Jordan probably could have contributed at a Major League level as a pinch-runner.

No... Jordan really played on the Sox. He was brought down to the minors because he sucked.

He played for the minor league club. He never made the majors. Not difficult to understand.

I checked Guiga's link, and while it does say that he played for at the Major League level, if you follow the citation for it it says no such thing.

Jordan actually played for a minor league team in the same league as our local minor league team. Unfortunately, I never got the chance to go see him play, but oh well.

First thought for the topic was Bo Jackson, then Jim Thorpe, then Deion Sanders.
