Mixed reviews, most said it was pretty awful, but then I'd hear a good chunk of people say it wasn't as bad as people said it was and that there is some fun to be had. My question is, is it worth 9.99? Cause that's what it's going for on Steam, as of now I'm leaning towards, probably not gonna bother, but then again, it's just 10 bucks.

I had a lot of fun with it. It does some really innovated stuff sometimes in the way of each stage having really cool stuff in it. It had the sort of stuff I wish were in FPSes more often like that. It wasn't as bad and unplayable as people would like you to believe, and it does have a lot of problems.
Basically, it's like one of those random FPS games that aren't the best of quality but does some cool and innovative stuff. Only it has Duke Nukem, so it's much more enjoyable in the way of playing as him rather than any voiceless FPS hero.

Xbox GT: PrivateBiscuit1 Down with Zhang. Let there be Biscuit!
Worth $10, sure. It's not terrible but the loading times really killed it for me. I was playing on Hard so when I got to a tough part I could easily spend more time loading than playing as I kept getting killed quickly.
Maybe the PC version has better load times? I was playing on 360.
Gotta go with Yahtzee on this one; the game should not have been released because it would never live up to the hype.
Freg, it would have been better just to call it "Duke Nukem Returns." Then they could go ahead and title the sequel "Duke Nukem Forever," once they've wet people's appetites and have a better idea of where they want to take the franchise. Then they could call the next sequel "Duke Nukem and Ma-Ti," or something.

There never was a post. Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and refracted the light from Venus.
Kinglicious posted... Pc version was great. Consoles got a really bad port, we got almost no loading times. Like 5 seconds top, I didn't even get any longer than 3
the game is pretty awful, for being a duke nukem game you'd expect a more classic shooter experience but it's full of bad modern FPS tropes stolen from halo and call of duty. might be worth $10 idk, it does still have duke ****ing nukem in it at least
Two guns were lame but you got used to it quickly and at least they didn't feel too bad. Then again I shotgunned all game. And pc wins there again due to easy cheats. Pick any 2 you wanted.

The King Wang. Listen up Urinal Cake. I already have something that tells me if I'm too drunk when I pee on it: My friends. - Colbert.
OMG, man, it's absolutely worth $10! Trust me. It has a couple of flaws (health regeneration and the ability to only carry two guns at a time), but, other than that, it's so much fun, such great humour! The multiplayer is also a blast. Really, for $10, you can't go wrong!

If you like Blitzball, try Captain Tsubasa II (in English) for NES! Top games: http://unikgamer.com/users/vlado-309.html
Possibly. For the record, the DNF patch they just released for consoles does reduce the load times. Also there's a free multiplayer DLC out (free if you pre-ordered).
