You do not need Infamous 2 for this first off, from what I understand. Just like Red Dead's Undead Nightmare, this is a zombie expansion thing, except it is vampires. I assume it is mostly the same kind of gameplay, could be good if you just want more Infamous.
Sidescroller is supposed to offer a different experience from shooter, being much more fast paced and action oriented, the trailer looks pretty fun, and if it is only $10 like I suspect, this could be a really good buy.
This game wasn't on my radar at all until the recent giant bomb quick look, and now it is definitely my most anticipated of the week. It is a puzzle/platformer set in the war of the worlds fiction. It has a slight limbo look to it, they want a feeling of desperation, it looks pretty cool. The main possible flaw I see is that it could be too difficult, but we shall see! Seriously, check out the quick look. It is narrated by Patrick Stewart too.

The first one didn't get great reviews, not sure if this one will be any better, but we'll see.
Actually, it looks like Festival of Blood will only be $10 on launch too.
With a totally new story in Festival of Blood, of course we had to give Cole a totally new set of powers. One power that fans have always wanted in an inFAMOUS game has been the ability to fly, and with Festival of Blood we thought it was time to give Cole the chance to spread his wings. Bat wings, that is, with a new power called Shadow Swarm. While Shadow Swarm allows you to experience New Marais in a whole new way, it does come at the expense of the innocent people walking around in the night as you must feed upon them to fuel your flight.

The Lightning Tether and Improved Static Thrusters already made the game so much fun to move around in, this should be pretty damn awesome.
thats good to see that it will only be $10, $15 seemed like too much. I'm assuming it will only be like 4-5 hours, and I hate when they try and charge 15 for that (the new Deus Ex DLC, the upcoming Gears DLC, that ratchet and clank downloadable game)

Control of player movement using the left stick and D-pad has been improved to be more accurate and precise. Now you can improve your clear times and try for higher ranking! The convenience of the multi-player mode has been enhanced. The battle map can now be changed in the Lobby: It is now easy for the same players to enjoy playing in different maps. An option to adjust all players’ cash holdings to be identical at the start of the game, eliminating cash handicaps: progress through the initial part of the game speeds up by raising the cash holdings. Starting with different cash levels could give rise to different strategies, too! A bug or two, including one occasionally preventing exit from a game in multi-player mode, have been cushed… like bugs

PSN stuff is up, no demos for Pixeljunk or Infamous it looks like "sigh".
they had demos available for all the other new games this month. I'm not a big fan of Pixeljunk shooter, but sidescroller looked up my alley, but now I can't try it out

War of the Worlds -In terms of production value, it's awesome, excellent visuals, great narration by patrick stewart, and I really enjoyed the writing as well. Gameplay wise, the platforming is a little clunky, darkness makes it tough to see what to do next sometimes, the occasional combat section is awful. Basically, all style, little substance. Which is a shame, because the style is truly excellent.
Zombie Apocalypse: Never Die Alone -I didn't find the shooting to be very good, the dialogue was actually kind of funny, but yeah, not worth it for me.

he thought it was fun but was disappointed at the story and the lack of content or replayability.
also Giant Bomb did a quick look and they seemed to like sidescroller. but yeah, very disappointing lack of content from both probably means it is best to wait for a sale for both.

Festival of Blood is only 2 hours if you just barrel through the main story. Getting all the Canopic Jars, all of Mary's Teachings, and all of the powers adds a decent amount of time to it
It is short, but there's definitely some pretty awesome stuff in there. Flight mode (Shadow Swarm) is really awesome and the cutscenes are as good as you'd expect, and you actually get the inFamous 1 bolt which wasn't in inFamous 2. They call it Magnum Bolt (which was in inFamous 2), but I'm *positive* that the rate of fire and strength of the bolt are the same as one from inFamous 1 and not like the Magnum Bolt from inFamous 2 which had a rather slow rate of fire but was really powerful. I'm guessing they called it Magnum Bolt because it's the only hitscan bolt in inFamous and has a really similar graphical effect like the one from inFamous 1. I can't confirm this because I don't have the disc for inFamous 1 and inFamous 2 with me, but I'm really sure of it. There's also a couple new enemies, including a miniboss one.
Definitely worth $10. It plays just as awesomely as inFamous 2, maybe even better because of Flight Mode. Has somewhat of different atmosphere to it, too.
