Also I do think there's some double ghost dad stuff going on. What's also weird is that Harry is like an actual ghost now instead of all in Dexter's head. He was giving Dexter football tips that Dexter himself admitted he had no knowledge of.

the pacing has been better than most season but the writing has been a little weird at times. tooth fairy episode was very good though.

I'm surprised nobody is talking about it, it has been pretty good.

Anybody else think Edward James Olmos is a Harry-like character to Travis? I'm pretty sure he's dead, especially since Miami Metro got on his tail so quickly. Obviously if they're looking for him, Travis can continue what he is doing. I'd actually liken Olmos to Tyler Durden more than Harry, but you get the idea. I don't think anybody has addressed Olmos yet...the waitress that was flirting with Travis didn't seem to even notice he was there.

I think pretty much everyone thinks that at this point. I'm gonna be a bit disappointed if that's the reveal, since it seems so obvious at this point.

That's exactly what happened.

I hate to be the guy that spoils it, but since we're all talking about it, the Olmos being a ghost thingy has been a popular theory since early on. He's never actually been acknowledged by anyone other than what's his face. Even when the girl was tied up, she was staring at Tom Hanks Jr the entire time and didn't acknowledge Olmos. Same with at the restaurant, etc.

i don't know enough about fugue to answer this

i think travis was just a student of olmos' and followed him after he got fired. in my theory i guess he probably killed him. it's even possible that olmos asked travis to kill him to trigger the beginning of the end of the world. didn't they say he has been missing for 3 years? and the numbers dexter found on the bodies were something like 1248 and 1253, that could be the number of days since he died and the process commenced.

i assume his hallucinations of olmos are just a severe case of schizophrenia.

Just watched the most recent episode, and it is looking like olmos is a ghost dad. No food at the diner, waitress didn't notice him, dexter/harry and him/travis mirroring scenes. I definitely buy Travis tying her up himself, unless he has an accomplice (MOS DEF????)

Mos Def is awesome and I know that his character is too good to be true, which is upsetting because Dexter having a legitimate friend who is like, the good version of him, is a very good combination imo.

The scenes with the two of them together have been the best of the season so far.

Yeah, I agree with this. He's been one of my favorites for a little bit though, he's great in everything he does. Have you seen the HBO movie "Something The Lord Made"? It has Mos Def AND Alan Rickman and is about badass heart surgeons.

main issue for me this season is that dexter himself is the most boring we've ever had him. deb's subplot, batista/quinn's really strange bromance, and the visually arresting kills have all been great... but dexter himself is just... blah

i like mos def and the fact that he doesn't seem to be tied in with the villains is great.

Maybe I'm missing something, but in the last episode didn't Dexter re-examine one of the bodies and find some inconstancies with the cuts? Like one was done really well and the other was a bit more of a hack?
Or maybe it was the crime scenes where well displayed and the bodies where not so well done, I can't quite remember and I can't watch the video as I'm at work.

Either way there was something that lead Dexter to believe that there was two people involved.
