I still think that's when One Piece was at the top of it's game in terms of animation quality. That fight was amazing to watch

Kaku was the last oe for me. Morgan, Cabaji, Cat bros, Mihawk, Hatchan, Baroque Works, Luffy, Daz Bones, Braham, Ohm, Enel, Groggy Monsters, Kaku, Ryuma. I'm sure there's more. Top ones bolded. I was hoping for a great fight like those, not one they spent just half an episode with. Though this sword is pretty awesome.

Fun fact: Ryuma was based on the main character of a One Shot Oda did before One Piece about samurai.

Now time to battle Oars. Sanji starts out, but at least Zoro and Franky were shown to join the fight, but everyone except Luffy and Nami are there. Luffy's who's fighting Moriah and Nami who's still unconcious, but I have a feeling that she might fight Absalom.

Cindry is actually good enough.

They should just once let someone other than Luffy finish off the main villain. That'd be cool for a change. But that hasnt really happened since Captain Morgan arc has it? Unless you'd see Spandam as the main villain rather than Lucci, even though the former can't fight.

They flipped Oars over. I love when the straw hats work together like that. More interestingly, Perona is trying to leave with the Thousand Sunny. Even more interestingly Kuma, another shichibukai just arrived. Didn't see that one coming, there's more to the arc than I thought!

Perona = best thriller bark arc character.

She could have soe backstory. But she said her dream os to make all cute people zombies or something. Whatever she said it was definetely something I don't think she'd accomplish by joining the straw hats.

With Kuma around it's getting relaly interesting. He just made Perona vanish like that, what powers does he have!? Also why'd he ask Nami if Luffy had a brother? Whee, Ctes is excited now. I've waited to see this man in action since the meeting after Luffy defeated Crocodile. We at least saw Doflamingo getting Bellamy killed with his powers, but nothing of Kuma before now! Awesome!

Kuma told Moriah that they finally (after more than 200 episodes) found a replacement for Crocodile. Marshall D. Teach. Aslo known as Blackbeard. He apparently didn't have a former bounty, which must mean he betrayed the Whitebeard pirates very shortly before the story began. This must mean Blackbeard defeated Ace back there, Kuma asking Nami about Luffy's brother could support it as well. Kuma's a great guy. Moriah says he's the only one actually doin as the government says. I like that there's someone like that.

My thought about Zoro dealing with Oars was short-lived. They're all fighting. Moriah combined himself with Oars so yeah. The government fear that the straw hats will beat Moriah, that is so awesome. Brook arrived as well, with a bag of salt. Lets finish all this.

Real Lola is much more ugly than the warthog. But they sure made Luffy some badass with all these shadows.

Franky's down, but Nami now entered the battle. Moriah explains how he can control Oars' shadow and then the body will do the same. Quite impressive. Following Franky, Moriah/Oars starting eliminating them all one after another, but each would attempt a major attack first. Brook made a lightning spin thing, going through Oars' shoulder, but was then crushed. Oars then tried to aim for Usopp, but couldn't stretch out, because Robin's sprout arms prevented Moriah from doing that to the shadow. She then cracked his body, or so she thought but Moriah can switch place with his shadows and did so, then eliminating Robin, by taking her shadow, thus my four favorite characters are the ones without shadows. Chopper figured out what to do then, attack the right arm. Sanji and him got a great attack on him, but was then crushed, leaving with three remaining excluding Luffy. We're getting near the end now.

Zoro then figures out what to do. While avoiding Oars' attacks serveral times he make some major damge on the right arm, and frightens Moriah in the progress before getting knowcked out, but this all opened up for a chance for Usopp to shoot the salt right in Oars' mouth as Zoro planned. However before Luffy's shadow could be released, Moriah gets his shadows inside Oars to get the salt out, making the plan ultimately fail. Oars' then goes to stomp Usopp as well as Nami to death, but at a great enough speed for no one to notice the shadow-overpowered Luffy saved them and enters the battle. He completely destroyed them.

NEW OPENING!... Or kinda. This is, WE ARE! They're using it again, though in a new version. A remix. This isn't for recap episodes right? It can't be, it was a new "opening", they also added some more parts from the full version. The video is actually great. My favorite part is when they run, and in the background we see all their previous friends and alies. There was also a part where we saw the previous members; Vivi, Carue and Going Merry. Very good.

Note on the manga: Godammit they added muh filler into the Davy Back Fight during the anime, even though they just had a filler ar; G-8.

In the manga there was just three challenges; Donut Race, Groggy Monster Fight, Foxy vs. Luffy. Foxy wins first one picks Chopper, Luffy next one picked Chopper, Luffy third one picks their jolly. Then Aokiji is there helping Tonjit get to his friends.

In the anime after Zoro and Sanji defeat the Groggy Monsters, Luffy picked Sherry the horse, who was apparently a Foxy pirate there, so it can return with Tonjit. Then the third game is a rollerskates race, which Luffy wins and picks Chopper to come back. Then Foxy challenges Luffy to another three-coin game. First dodgeball, which Foxy wins and picks Robin, then Red Light, Green Light alike game, which Foxy also wins and picks Chopper. Then finally the duel between the captains. They somehow get to the agreement that the winner gets 500 crewmates. Luffy win and pick Robin, Chopper, their jolly and everyone else but Foxy, Porche and Hamburg. Then Luffy dismisses all his new 497 crewmates. As the straw hats move on we get another filler arc, Ocean's Dream which last like 5 episodes. Then they meet off with the main three of Foxy's crew again, who drifted around in a little boat. They help them find Foxy's crew, which has been taken over by some of Foxy's crew. They beat them up then Foxy challenges them again, but not to a Davy Back Fight, I think at least. Luffy wins they move on. On an island. Foxy, Porche and Hamburg appear in a crap machine like were they Team Rocket or something. But they're easily taken care off and they leave for good. They ****ing finally meet Aokiji then on this another island. Some people is stranded here or something, so Aokiji freeze the water so they can get to their land. Then they fight him.

This doesn't happen again, does it? I think they changed too much there, even though it worked out well enough. It's also way too much filler around the same the time.

Theres not much filler left after that I don't believe.

I can think of maybe 2 episodes.

the only actual filler arc is like the episode or two they spent on that resort island. Everything else is either just padding to stretch out canon (although nothing like what you saw in Davy Back Fight. Mainly just to ensure they stick to the 1 chapter per episode pacing) or expanding on cover stories or the 4 episodes leading up to Strong World.

Episode 377. I will never forget this one. When Zoro first accepted to join Luffy, he said that he'd kill Luffy if he got in the way of Zoro's dream. Now Zoro was willing to give his life in order for Luffy to survive. Sanji was too, but Zoro didn't let him. All the pain Luffy go during the whole Thriller Bark arc. Zoro took it all from him... Just a small bit of it, looked like it killed Zoro. He took the whole pack. Back in Jaya I thought Zoro's loyalty was unbelieveable. I can't go any further than this. He'd give his life in order for Luffy to survive dammit! So goddamn amazing!!!

Sanji's loyalty shouldn't go unnoticed here, he'd do the same thing. When you look at the crew, the two don't really seem like the most loyal ones. But they are, without a doubt.

Zoro's the goddamn best character ever. Definetely a top 10 episode.

Absalom and Hogback escape with an unconcious Moriah. They read the newspaper. You'd see an aticle saying that Iceburg wants a new secretary, lol. But more importantly; Blackbeard did indeed defeat Ace, and Ace was sent to that jail Impel Down, Nami mentioned once.

Looks like only Sanji, Brook and Robin will be aware of Zoro's actions. It's awesome, but you know, you can't help but want to see how everyone else would react.

Luffy finally told Brook about Laboon. That they met him and that he's still waiting for their return. This brought Brook to tears, and now we get to see Brook's backstory. Not back when he was a kid as we did with everyone else, but when he met Laboon.

Yea I think the next 4 arcs are the best. And if I can guess, you'll love the 5th arc as well. I usually don't watch the anime but I did it for this last stretch.

And so Brook joins up, after he said his last words to his long dead crew, along with Zoro qho did the same for Yubashiri. Brook reveals he has a bounty of 33 million.

Then things get quite interesting. Lola explains what a Vivre Card is. A paper of life. She gives Nami one from her mother, who's apparently a great pirate. Now this was what Ace gave Luffy almost 300 episodes ago in Alabasta. But... that Vivre Card was burning...

Preview reveals that we'll get to meet Foxy again. Cool.

So I watched movie 8, now that the episodes took a small step down. (Yes SomeC I will watch 6, but skipped that and 7 for now, don't worry) It's pretty much just Alabasta mixed into 90 minutes. With scenes made very short and some of them cut. It's easy to see that something is missing. Long conversation and build-ups to scenes aren't there. It makes the movie seem much shorter than the others. I figured this movie wouldn't bore me because I loved the Alabasta arc. The other movies have all bored me at one point at least.

-The Repel Army charging with Vivi trying to stop them, but fails and the fighting starts.
-The fighting between the straw hats and the Baroque Works members has apparently started.
-Vivi leaves Carue to the Super Spolied Duck Squad
*-Usopp and Chopper defeat Mr. 4, Miss Merry Christmas and their canon dog.
-A fighting scene between the royal and repel army.
-Sanji defeats Mr. 2
-Vivi orders the royal army to destroy the palace.
-Nami deafeats Miss Doubefinger
-Crocodile asking Cobra about Pluton.
-Zoro defeats Mr. 1
-Sanji, Chopper, Usopp and Eyelash head to the palace.
-Nami removes her weapon that tangled around Ms. Doubefinger.
*-Crocodile reveals that a bomb will explode in 15 minutes, Robin leaves with Cobra, Crocodile defeats Chaka and Kohza and Crocodile is about to kill Vivi when Luffy flying on Pell saves her.
-The straw hats spot Luffy on the sky.
-Robin reads the ponyglyphs, Crocodile gets there and wants to kill Robin when she tells him there's nothing written about Pluton.
-Luffy faces Crocodile underground. Robin saving him in the sand is shown in a flashback in a few seconds. Luffy reveals he figured out the facts about the water and attacks him with blood.
-The Straw Hats search for the bomb. Vivi figures it out. Mr. 7 and Miss Fathers Day are there and them shooting Pell is shown in a few pictures.
*-Luffy fights with Crocodile and his poisenous hook.
*-The rest of the crew gets Vivi up on top of the tower and she defeats the two Baroque Works agents, before she finds out that it's a timebomb. Pell then leaves with the bomb sacrificing himself.
-Another flashback with Vivi talking to Pell.
-The royal and repel army continues to fights.
*-Luffy defeats Crocodile. The fight was shown in lots of minor scenes in between the last few.
-Crocodile lands in the city-
-Vivi yells out to the kingsom that they should stop fighting and it starts raining. Chaka and Kohza supports it with yelling from the castle.
-Cobra brings Luffy to his crew.
-The Straw Hats sleep in the palace for days, but Vivi can't sleep.
-Luffy finally wakes up, and they go eating. They tell Vivi that she has one last chance to join them, which she wonders about.
-Robin is alone stating that she has been saved by a D twice. Monkey D. Luffy and Jaguar D. Saul
-Vivi gets dressed up for speech.
-Vivi gives out her sppech for the whole kingdom.
-The straw-hats wait for Luffy, but marines approach.
*-Vivi gets down there to say goodbye to the straw hats along with Carue. They show the X symbol instead o f saying goodbye. Vivi and Carue do the same.
-Vivi talks about her adventure after the credits. It ends with Carue yelling.

Noteable Changes:

-Sanji is there when they meet Mr. 2, but doesn't allow him to touch his face when attempted. He shows Nami's full body instead of just breasts.
-Ace, Smoker, Tashigi, Mr. 3, Hina and Igaram don't appear, and every scene with them are removed.
-Crocodile and Ms. All Sunday meet the rest of Baroque Works in the desert, there's no cconversation, only Crocodile giving orders.
-Everyone s paired with the ones they're gonna fight with from the start. Usopp/Chopper, Sanji, Zoro/Nami, while only the last was paired like that in the episodes.
-We start the fights when they're almost done. Always when the straw hat is about to figure how to win.
-Nami's breasts are as big as they were when this movie cam out, rather then how they were back then.
-Luffy doesn't fight Crocodile on the palace, he only saves Vivi and then leaves the palace again. He reveals he figured out about the water to Crocodile underground and attacks with blood from the start.
-The bomb searching scene starts when Vivi figures where it is.
-Kohza doesn't rejoin the war after he meet Crocodile on the roof, and him and Chaka yell out to the people that they should stop fighting.
-The bath scene has been cut.
-Igaram's wife is present but not when they're eating.
-A scene with Robin saying she's been saved by D's is added.
-The scene with Mr. 2 helping them is cut.
