From: Tom Bombadil | #010 was honestly unsure whether to expect Benoit or Cena
They are the same caliber of human.
People know my all time "worseless human" Wrestler rankings.
1 Hogan 2 ___________ 3 John Cena
Cena is not far away from passing __________. If he buries the Rock at Mania, when he is not 1/10 of anything Rocky ever was, I think he will have caught him.
From: Tom Bombadil | #013 where would fans of sports teams you dislike fit into this ranking
This is just ranking Wrestlers.
On the list of people I hate, it is hard to even put Boston, Nawlins, Chapel Hill, and Durham on the list, because I have a hard time of thinking anyone on Earth (past or present) that I hate more than them. Hulk Hogan and Jeff Gerstman are both top 5, probably with the city of Boston, Sam Gilbert, and Stalin (in some order). Next is Nawlins, John Wooden, Bin Laden, Chapel Hill, and Jerry Tipton (again, in some order).
Hard to really figure them after that. ____________ is probably in the next line with Durham, Jerry Tipton, Big Ben, Solid **** fans, and a few others.
Day 16: John Cena. 2011 Over the Limit I Quit Match vs The Miz.
What in the bluest of blue hells? How did this one get anywhere near close to winning? He's had a million matches where the odds were stacked way higher in kayfabe. Miz & Riley are creampuffs compared to most of the guys he's had to run through o.O
Maybe I'm just not understanding the criteria?
Anyway, definitely the WMXX match.

One of the wonders of the world is going down. It's going down, I know. It's one of the blunders of the world that no one cares. No one cares enough.
It was a 15-minute 2-on-1 no disqualification assault. Not sure how many more of those Cena has had to deal with. And Miz/Riley aren't great or anything, but put weapons in their hands...yeah, that seemed a pretty fair pick to me.

I mean, off the top of my head...
NYR 2006 - Elimination Chamber (and subsequent MitB cash-in by Edge) Unforgiven 2006 - Cena vs Edge (TLC, with Edge being backed by the Toronto crowd, if memory serves) RR 2007 - Cena vs Umaga (Last Man Standing) Bragging Rights 2009 - Cena vs Orton (60 Minute No-DQ Ironman) Survivor Series 2009 - Cena vs HHH vs HBK To a lesser extent, those matches early in Cena's very first reign when Eric Bischoff and Daivari (I think?) were special refs on behalf of Jericho and Kurt Angle. WM22 and 23 against HHH and HBK respectively. Didn't he make both of them tap too?
Probably some others that I myself am forgetting.
I dunno, it's not a big deal. I just can't see the credibility in the Miz/Riley duo, thinking about it in kayfabe. Riley was the definition of a jobber lackey at the time (he lost practically every single match he was in), and Miz's prior title reign was centered around the fact that he was a joke champion that definitely couldn't hang with the upper tier of wrestlers (I mean, he could barely deal with Jerry Lawler, needing constant interference from Riley and even Michael Cole to defend his title). Even 2 vs 1, I didn't buy for a second that Miz had an iota of a chance in an I Quit match with Cena.
I guess I'll just chalk it up to difference in opinion, or perhaps it being more recent in people's memories. Oh well XD

You've got a point with all of those, I'm just saying in terms of being absolutely destroyed for 15 minutes it's right up there. If it was a 2-on-1 handicap match it would be usual, but weapons elevate even someone like Riley into a decent threat, you know?
I mean Orton in Iron Man is a longer length of time but that's one man (mostly), and Cena pinned/submitted Orton 5 times in that period of time, so.

Maybe the problem then is that I'm lacking clarity on what way the TC is defining 'strongest kayfabe match' in these topics. I assumed it to mean "match where the odds were stacked the highest against them." As in, I would have to believe in kayfabe that Cena was being given a run for his money.
In answer the Miz/Riley thing, I guess if we're thinking about a numbers-game type scenario, I'd almost want to throw out that Cena vs Nexus handicap match that happened on Raw. Speaking in kayfabe, he had zero chance of winning that. Granted, they were all considered rookies and it didn't have a No DQ stip, but that's too much for any one person to handle, especially after how absolutely destructive the Nexus looked after their initial invasion of Raw.
But if the criteria is "match where the person endured the most pain," then I concede a case for Miz/Riley might be plausible. The topic name just doesn't seem to reflect that direction, IMO.
EDIT: @JaKyL25 - I'm about 80% sure Cena was one of the first two entrants in that particular chamber match. I think he started it out against either HBK or Carlito, and he won that one.

Well in terms of enduring the most pain but still being able to get up, AA a 250lb man through a table and then chase Miz up the ramp, STF him and force him to quit...yeah. The "classic Cena" sudden no-sell out of nowhere is usual but that was just a totally extreme case of that.

The best way I can describe what MWC is going for here is to basically pretend this is DBZ and you're tasked to find the episode in which the wrestler's power level was demonstrably its highest.

Yes, that is the best way to look at it. Their absolute peak, in Kayfabe terms.
