The manga was good. Haven't seen much of the anime, but I do know that it ruined what I thought was a very satisfying ending.

I loved the manga's, although there is the quality drop people talk about around the last 1/3.

I'd still say the last 1/3 is good but the first 2/3 is fantastic.

Also I much preferred the manga to the anime!

I love Death Note, the anime especially, one of my favs.

That said, this kinda topic, gotta wonder. Takes so little effort to just pop on an episode or two, if you were interested enough to make the topic in the first place.

I liked it. It was also pretty much the only anime I've watched from beginning to end, save for DBZ/DB/GT.

Yes

It's Death Note except all the puzzles are so sterile, held inside self-contained environments with every single rule set in stone and no possibility of failure with all the deus ex machina. It's like reading a mathematical proof, which is cool, but I wouldn't call it a good story.

Also I've read it through the musical chairs game so I can't say it's not entertaining, but man is it inferior to Death Note.

Liar Game has better puzzles but worse story/characters. And art too, but who cares about that?

As for Death Note, it starts out great but it kind of slowly goes downhill. Still worth watching though, since it's on the shortish side.

So if I wanted to check out Liar game should I check out the drama or the manga? I'd check out the manga but I hate reading series that aren't finished. Unless it's predicted to finish soon.
