10/10. I can't say he was a perfect character, but once I finished Crisis Core and looked back at everything he did during the game I went "man, this was a good character." I think what I liked the most about Zack is that he acted like a goof talking about being a hero and protecting his honor during the entire game, then in the ending you see that even though he's a complete idiot, that is the one thing he knows what he's talking about.

Either that or I like his hair.

Was originally a 2/10 before Crisis Core, made to look like a total pushover in FF7.

Crisis Core jacked him up to a 9.4/10. Not quite perfect, but not a total pushover anymore. Far from it, in fact. Dude has my favorite SPOILER MOMENT in the series.

Hits a nice balance of light hearted + badass that few characters manage. Also has that scene at the end of the game which is amazing.

Didn't care about him in the least in FF7. Not that that's really affecting my rating.
