I love Dexter, pretty much my fav show, I will say this season is definitely the least strong of 'em for me. But still entertaining, good stuff.

This season has definitely not challenged the mold at all, hopefully next season they're feeling more ambitious. But still, pretty quality TV.

i'm still enjoying the show a bit, but i'm still utterly confused by the intern bit

now he's drawing on the hand and mailing it to dexter and judging by the music i guess it's supposed to be menacing

but i honestly can't figure out what the big deal is

i figure dexter will get it and be like "who took this out of evidence"

I just caught up on the last few episodes tonight, one bit me and couple homies found pretty hilarious was the bit where we learn Dexter hates violent video games. He'd never post on here. Hell, maybe he'd find his own show offensive.

Dex is one complex cat.

The music isn't menacing so much as it's metaphoric, if you remember Brian Moser's character from season 1.

In season 1, when Dexter is cleaning out his biological father's house with Rita, Deb, and "Rudy" (Brian) he mentions his particular favor of classical rock. I couldn't point out what track he was listening to but it sounded very much like a 1960's-70's rock esque song.

Also if you look at the computer screen that the intern is looking at while painting on the hand it reveals a bit. It looks like a cryptic message system in the color coding and direction the lines are drawn that depict some sort of message, what that is currently we have no idea.

Ice truck killer's signature "hand", painting a message on it while listening to music the ice truck killer also enjoyed, this odd obsession with the ice truck killer's brother (Dexter), it all points to what I believe is going to be next seasons' villain.

The intern has some sort of connection with Brian Moser, the ice truck killer. Whether he is blood related or just inspired by him, I think he's going to be next season's big bad.

***SPOILERS: STUFF SHOWN IN PREVIEW OF SEASON FINALE***








I think it's gotta end up with Deb taking down Colin Hanks. That ties up every major plot thread in a neat package. Colin is taken down, Harrison is okay, Deb gets to be the one to save Dexter for a change which will resolve her weirdo psych issues plot, and it'll make her a hero cop which gets her out from under LaGuerta's thumb. Only plots it doesn't resolve is Louis being a nut (which yeah, I don't know if he's next season's main guy but I don't see how they have time for him with only one episode and all this other **** to get through) and Quinn being a drunk *******. But I guess it could even resolve that one if the whole experience somehow gives Deb the confidence she needs to marry Quinn after all or some bull**** like that.

The next episode should have Travis killing Laguerta in the most brutal way possible, and the police would not only let him go but give him a medal for being a hero

Also, this season hasn't been "great" or even "good", but it'd have to have one horrible finale to end up being worse than season 5.

Five was decent especially if you ignore the terrible ending. This season has been terrible and boring all the way through. The villain(s) are not at all intimidating and create no sense of danger. The only reason Travis is till at large is because Dexter let him go and keeps sabotaging efforts to find him.

idk, i think miami metro is pretty bumbling

it makes no sense that he was able to escape after quinn showed up

especially the cops just simply giving up and saying he got away

dude was on foot

presumably the house he was in was very close by, cops should have been going door to door

Last season it was a group of guys working together but they didn't know the exact number of the group or who was in it. Plus Jordan Chase was smart, rich, and had bodyguards/lawyers/etc. to hide behind. It made sense that Miami Metro had a hard time getting to him even when they knew that it was him. Travis is just some dorky guy running around killing people. They know exactly who he is and what he looks like but are just too incompetent to catch him apparently. The whole "Doomsday Adam" thing was dumb by the way. Oh hey look we found the blog of a KNOWN SERIAL KILLER but let's not shut it down or anything. He probably won't recruit some nutjob reading his posts or anything like that!

i'm not sure they would immediately shut the blog down, because

A) reading the entries can give you clues towards his next move or where he is

B) shutting down the blog tips him off that they're on to him

i don't think travis ever officially found out that they were on to him. they had gellar's picture in the paper, but i don't remember them ever releasing travis' info.
