Last night, going off of those numbers, I didn't even think this match would be a potential bracket-killer, or I would have banked.

You'd think Squall takes over after we leave the Power Hour though. Whether or not he can build enough of a lead to survive the ASV is yet to be determined.

That's probably the most cited example of hugely lopsided support in a toss up match. Pretty much everyone though the match would be close and in the end it was. That didn't stop Squall fro getting support of near 80% of the Gurus. The Gurus look like good when we do this and get it right. However, there are cases (like Sora potentially here) where we get it wrong and look really bad.

Honestly, I thought it was undeniable that Squall and Seifer were going to totally OWN those lamers right out of the gate, but with the opposition's current lead and day vote, I can't see how they're going to bounce back from this. Miracles do happen though.

Dante got more than 49%, Squall at this time has more than 1% more than Dante had, and Squall's early vote is worse than Dante's. Even with an ASV existing this time Squall has this, it just means Squall will do better relative to Dante until 3pm.
