Board 8 > Can you suggest me SRPG games on PC?

I really like Civilization games.But I think that are the only ones that I have played.I have played a lot on DS and PSP but on PC?Not much.I want some that try to focus on building empires if possible.Also I tried Total War Shogun 2 but my PC couldn't handle it.So I need some older games.

Civ and Shogun are.... not SRPGs. That's all there is to say about it, really.

Europa Universalis 3 (with all the expansions)
Maybe Gal Civ 2. (no, don't try Elemental, it bites)

I think that's in order of decreasing ancientness as well, sorta.

4x is a super classic term from like the eighties. I like it.

Phase hit the major ones. I'd second Europa Universalis 3.

Heroes of Might and Magic 3 is another good one to look into, though it is less empire orientated.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms is good if you're a fan of Dynasty Warriors.
