zelda has been around longer than final fantasy

links been on every nintendo console while cloud and sephiroth are just ps1 so more people get a chance to see link it dosen't prove link is better imean what is it like 1 ff7 versus 10 - 15 zelda games

Strangely they did favor Cloud over Link today (relatively speaking) but I'm pretty sure that's just people wanting an upset really bad.

Cloud and Sephiroth have been on every single Sony console + DVD. It's just that Final Fantasy and Square Enix have lost the magic the last few years, so naturally the characters drop on popularity charts as fewer new fans are brought in. They're just not very relevant anymore.

Let's just all be glad Link's winning and not Gordon Freeman or Master Chief, or, god forbid, a Call of Duty character. That would be a sad day for the gaming industry.

Because Link hasn't had any note worthy games at all. I'm pretty sure a game came out in 1998 that was almost as popular if not more so than FFVII.

LOL @ this guy. Just because people want Clouderorth to win doesn't mean they are FFVII fanboys. In fact...i don't even know any FFVII fans around here except Safer Sephiroth and EXtha. People hate FFVII on here.
