As bad as the Jets have looked today, and they've looked bad, this is just a thing they do for some inexplicable reason every now and then. This game doesn't make me feel any worse about the Giants game. I was always most concerned about the Eagles over these last couple of games. I think the Eagles taking care of their end isn't that unreasonable either. I'm just sort of disgruntled that everyone had to b**** about the Seahawks last year but nobody will b**** about the NFC East champion this year. I think it's fine that division winners get home games, but obviously I'm a bit biased. I'd be okay with giving home games to only teams with the best records, though. Looking at the standings in the NFC East, the Eagles CAN win their division, but they need a lot of help.
Dallas: 8-6, last two games are Philly and the Giants Giants: 7-7, they play the Jets and Dallas Eagles: 6-8, they play Dallas and Washington There's only one way all three can finish 8-8, and that's for Dallas to lose out, Philly to win out, and the Giants to lose to the Jets but beat Dallas (as explained earlier). If they all finish 8-8, Dallas is out because Eagles and Giants have the tiebreaker over them. Then Eagles would outdo the Giants because they have a better division record (5-1 if the Eagles win out). And then Atlanta would beat Philly in the playoffs, so it wouldn't matter =P.
