i love the bends, but i also love ok computer

The Bends is probably my "favorite" actually, but Kid A just impresses me more.

The reason I rank OKC that low is because it's the only album where I want to skip songs. That's mostly due to how damn good half the songs are but still, once I get through Karma Police I just want to start it over.

Picking between Radiohead albums is like ranking my own children which I don't have. Clearly there'll always be the one that's your favorite (Amnesiac) and the one you loathe the most (Pablo Honey) but in between that it really is a day by day thing.

Today I'll say

Amnesiac>Kid A>TkoL>Hail to The Thief>The Bends>OKC>In Rainbows>>>>Pablo Honey


But there's moments in time where HttT is last, where In Rainbows is second, etc.

Yeah this is what I actually think. This topic was inspired by Metacritic fan rating average, though. HttT and The Bends are both probably worse than TKoL.

I hadn't really thought about it, but now that I consider it... it might be, yeah. I like TKoL but I love everything else, so... yep.

Hail to the Thief gets too much hate. There's not a song I don't like on it and half of them are masterpieces


then again I can say that about any Radiohead album that's not Pablo Honey

If anything, Pablo Honey gets too much hate. Definitely one of Radiohead's weaker albums, but I don't think it's deplorable.

HttT and Amnesiac are both top 3 though

Pablo Honey's fine, if Radiohead went down a different path and made worse albums every time instead of quality stuff they'd be regarded as a 'great debut, went downhill from there' band by a lot of people. I'd still give it a 6.5/10 or something. It's just a lot more lighthearted than their other stuff on basically every level. (lyrics, songwriting, melodies etc)

I like a couple tracks from HttT (Go to Sleep, There There, and the last three) but for a good portion of the album is just drags. I could do without the first four tracks, and I'm not a fan of We Suck Young Blood or The Gloaming either. Punchup at a wedding is another I don't care for. It's not an album I ever listen to all the way through, though the few songs I really like are in my rotation.

I don't know if the Radiohead fanbase dislikes HttT, I've seen more dislike for it here than anywhere else.
