Don't quote this post and tell me what games he does like, I don't care You beat yourself up with your past. Don't blame yourself, blame the world. Blame God. Blame me.
Haven't seen it yet, but judging by the image, he DIDN'T LIKE IT.
He did not, but the image has nothing to do with that surprisingly.
Anyway, can't say I agree at all (other than the bits about Fi) but it was pretty funny.
"I found a plothole! Yeeesss!"
But yeah, he just nitpicked the hell out of it and his only major major complaint (other than Fi) was simply "has motion controls". Not at all surprising he had that reaction given previous efforts.
The odd thing, though, is that he criticised the game for changing the formula at the end... After criticising the series for following the formula? What?
EDIT: Yahtzee does like Nintendo games. He has gone on record saying both Mario Galaxies are good (though he hates the second one for existing... stupid anti-sequel logic, what can I say). He's been pretty positive about a lot of others in the past, including Epic Yarn fairly recently and as far as the Zelda games go, he seems to like the series. At the very least, he greatly enjoyed WW and TP.

Yeah, I had no idea he liked Wind Waker until this video. I know he liked Mario Galaxy. I thought he didn't like Mario Galaxy 2 as he felt it was just an expansion pack.

At the end of last year, in his Extra Punctuation article about the best games of the year, he gave it (and AC: Brotherhood) honourable mentions, saying they were good enough to make it on his top 5, but didn't for just being sequels that didn't do too much new.
He's talked about his love of Wind Waker (and less so Twilight Princess) quite a lot, basically whenever the series comes up.

I believe he also likes the Paper Mario games (despite usually disliking both Nintendo and jRPGs).

I love the charm, music, and art design of Wind Waker, but the level design is the worst of all 3D Zeldas. Only dungeon I can remember being anything special is the one with the bird girl.

Basically.
It appears that Yahtzee prizes atmosphere and story when it comes to Zelda judging by his preferences. His OoT3D review (he didn't dislike it, but found it lacking compared to WW and TP) kinda hints at this. He mainly complained about Link an dcharacters lacking personality, stuff like that.
That's my theory, anyway.

He's a fan of sandbox "free roaming" games or whatever you call them. He really liked Just Cause II, Minecraft, and Skyrim. From what I've seen, his tastes are pretty common among Western gaming reviewers. I can certainly appreciate these games, but I kinda burned out on the sandbox genre ten years ago after putting a lot of time in GTAIII. Vice City was a big disappointment and I haven't gone back since.

The funny thing is, he hated GTAIV and Oblivion, so it has to be a specific type of sandbox.

Liquid Wind posted... agreed with most of his criticism but I still think "worst zelda" is a bit harsh, SS is still much much better than either of the DS games
I'm pretty sure he was only talking about console Zeldas.
