man i was watching it today and i kinda forgot it was a "zany kids movie" when nothing really too absurd happened for most of it

The only really bad part was the ending, primarily the jetpack and Arnold's family not recognizing him even though his face was in no way obscured and they were standing right in front of him. Everything before the jetpack was fairly grounded in reality, it was like Home Alone level cartoonishness which is a good place to be for a live-action kids movie. Then Arnold turns on the jetpack and suddenly it becomes Looney Tunes. If they had left that out and made the Turbo Man helmet into more of a mask so Arnold's family didn't look brain damaged for not recognizing him, it would have been totally fine. As it is it's still fine, just those two things stand out as notably bad parts.

Oh you know what else was kind of dumb at the end? When Anakin kicked Sinbad in the nards (not that it's ever a bad thing for Sinbad to get kicked in the nards!), it was just a regular kick. But we spent the whole beginning of the movie on his karate class. He shoulda done some crazy kung fu **** on Sinbad's nuts.
