Knew it was going to be a great song once they referenced Cyrano de Bergerac right off the bat

2. Rush - Force Ten
I envision this to be an intro song for an 80s or early 90s cartoon

3. Talk Talk - Runeii
Surprisingly good despite me not caring for songs with borderline incoherent vocal styles

4. The Lovemongers - The Battle of Evermore
Reminds me of a mix between Cher and some song I heard, and liked, from SOTW either this season or last

5. The Cramps - Can Your Female Cat Do The Dog
Silly

6. Alice in Chains - I Know Something (Bout You)
Disappointed that this was "my song" but it isn't bad

7. Blur - Girls & Boys
Eh, maybe they just have one hit or something because I liked a somewhat famous contemporary song by them but this was just a sub-par performance of a song with terrible lyrics

MycroProcessor: Rush - Force Ten (1987)
This song does the neat things like sorta uneeded guitar tricks that make the song sound cooler. Has good pacing and it actually ends around the time I start getting tired of it.

Blues Traveler - Sweet Pain (1991)
There's a lot going for this song, nice guitar work, good emotion, and generally all around pleasing. 7+ minutes is kind of long. Outro was way overdue.

Cheap Trick - Don't Be Cruel (1988)
A fun sounding song with some decent intrumentals, but it does wear off after a bit since it really has no major changes throughout the entire song.

Alice in Chains - I Know Something (Bout You) (1990)
Decent, but there are better Alice in Chain songs both lyrically and instrumentally.

The Lovemongers - The Battle of Evermore (1992)
Something about this is just like a giant slab of cheddar. I can't really put my finger on it since the song seems so incredibly familiar.

The Lovemongers - The Battle of Evermore
I am not kidding when I say I listened to the original RIGHT before I started this batch of songs without remembering there was a cover of it in here. This wasn't bad, albeit a bit too close to the original, which is infinitely better anyway. (seriously maybe my favorite Led Zep song) 7/10


Blur - Girls & Boys
I've never been too big a Blur fan. I always preferred Albarn's work with Gorillaz. This has always been a pretty good song though. 7/10

Alice in Chains - I Know Something (Bout You)
I like Alice In Chains but this was a bit too classic rock instead of sweet grunge. 6/10

Rush - Force Ten
I don't mind Rush, but I can't say I really like them either. 6/10

Blues Traveler - Sweet Pain
This is mediocrity put into song. 5/10

The Cramps - Can Your Female Cat Do The Dog
What is it with all these bluesy songs this week? It's not even the good kind! 4/10

A decent Alice in Chains song, which means it is great. 8.1/10

Blues Traveler - Sweet Pain
This better be my song. It's really cool, I liked it. Reminded me of Lynyrd Skynyrd at parts.

Rush - Force Ten
I knew this was Mycro song when it hit like 1:30 and it simply stopped, and got slower all of a sudden. It was like, "yeah, mycro would like something like that". The awkward 80's sound is so fun and oddly fits the sorta cheesy lyrics. What's it with the anticlimactic ending, by the way?

Talk Talk - Runeii
Uh... uh... let's just say I kinda liked it and move on.

The Lovemongers - Battle of Evermore
The vocals and the instruments kind of blend into each other a little too much, but it's a quality song nonetheless. Ah, so it's a Led Zeppelin song, huh? This struck me as familiar; it ALL MAKES SENSE NOW <nerdy stat gain comment here>. I like the vocal performances but I still don't think the overall product works that well. I wanted to like this, but I didn't as much as I had hoped.

Cheap Trick - Don't Be Cruel
So it's like a... modern take on the Elvis classic, I guess? I love the original. This one is kinda okay, though. The original was also a lot shorter so it didn't get repetitive like this one. Man, I hate not talking about a cover's own merits, but this one begs for it. It is rather enthusiastic, at least.

Blur - Girls & Boys
I love Blur, but this song has always been kind of obnoxious to me. Not to mention this song actually stuck and is probably the most played Blur song nowadays (lol chilean alternative radio stations). Considering most of their discography is sweet, it's just a shame.

Alice In Chains - I Know Something (Bout You)
Alice In Chains bores me. This song is no exception. I mean, they really do. I cannot be emphatic enough about this.

this was a terrible week and my song is still probably the worst of them all
only the elite can understand the "greatness" of the cramps
