Are there any Light Force users in the Empire or Dark Force users in the Republic?

Does it even make sense?

Also I'm talking about using exclusively power one of the the sides, not just like using some powers from a side.

Stupid Swtor got me interested in Star Wars, I spent one full day on Wookiepedia.

Well the first one mostly, the second one less because I actually watched the sequel movies (not the prequel) when I was little.

Why would that scare you? Mara is easily one of the biggest EU characters, and you said you spent a day on Wookipedia.

Well I mean, as far as movies go there's only two Force users in the Empire, and they're both Sith.

As for the Republic, I'm going to assume you mean the Old Republic (before it was wiped out by the new Empire). And no. If someone used Dark Side powers that would make them either an outcast or a Sith. Some Jedi used Dark Force powers on occasion, but not to any sort of extreme.
