Really good. Has a lot going on throughout and never gets boring. Only problem is that it probably lasts a bit too long. 13. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption - Rundas Battle
The first time I heard this I was shocked. Not only did I recognize it while playing the game, but I was utterly shocked at how well-composed it was. It manages to provide a good, emotional melody while still keeping the creepy atmosphere the series is known for. Very fitting for the battle.
12. Super Meat Boy - The Battle of Lil’ Slugger
****ing epic and intense! Lil’ Slugger was my favorite SMB boss, and this song is a huge factor.

Woah, this was really good. Loved the instrumentation and melody.
10. Mega Man X8 - VS Lumine ~ The Second Form
Pretty kickass, epic rock song.
9. Sonic Generations 3DS - Big Arm
Did we really need 2 versions of the same song? Either way, this is definitely the better version, and a fantastic song on it’s own. I hadn’t checked out the Generations soundtrack because they left off Lava Reef or something stupid. Maybe I should get to that.

Classic 7. Grandia II - FIGHT!! Version #4 ~ The Final Battle
This song does so many things right. It has great instrumentation, a great sense of epicness and intensity, and an overall memorable and catchy melody. 6. Final Fantasy VIII - The Extreme
Great song. The buildup is great and the crash into the actual melody is fantastic.

Very badass, adrenaline-pumping song. Gets better with each change in melody. 4. Donkey Kong Country – Gangplank Galleon
Love this song. Starts off fun and carefree, then transitions almost perfectly into a dark and foreboding melody. Truly impressive considering the era it comes from. 3. Ougon Musou Kyoku - Destructive Sunshine
Better than the original in my opinion! Fantastic melody increased by fantastic instrumentation. Very beautiful yet fun song.

Very intense, powerful song. The vocals are a great addition as they provide a good sense of emotion to the table. And that violin solo is just so damn beautiful. Amazing song. 1. Chrono Cross – Life ~Faraway Promise~
Yeah, this is no contest. Simply one of the greatest pieces of music ever composed. Very beautiful and emotionally chilling. I probably prefer Radical Dreamers, but this is still flat out amazing.

Sweet, I got three in the bottom 10! Seems we continue to have vastly different tastes in music, and that I still have yet to find a song from the Alundra soundtrack you don't consider ear rape (that still baffles the hell out of me).
And if there's one thing I picked up on, it's that you're easily bored, and a tune has to really stand out in order to get your attention. Whereas with me, I'll listen to whatever unless it pains me to (case in point: my scoring average in the VG Song Rating Topic series is a 7.6). Actually from what I've seen, my "bar" seems to be the lowest of anyone here.
