59. Earthbound - Pokey Means Business


The first 50 seconds or so is pretty cool, but afterwards it kinda falls apart in it’s attempt to be dark and hectic. It does pull those off very well, but judging purely on it’s listening quality, this just isn’t very good.

58. GunGirl 2 - Kyrie Immanis


Not bad, but ultimately forgettable.

57. Secret of Mana - Meridian Dance


Has some good parts, but also some terrible parts. I’m probably being too lenient with it’s ranking.

56. Touhou Hisoutensoku - Faith is for the Transient People


Probably should’ve specified I only wanted songs that appeared in the game, but I think this is the only remix I got so whatever. Never cared for Transient People much before, and this version is worse.

EoSD is probably the weakest of the Touhou OSTs. I honestly wouldn’t be able to distinguish this from a group of other random Touhou songs. But it’s still got some quality, like a lot of Touhou songs do.

Honestly, this just sounds like Koopa 2.0, except with a much better sense of direction. That actually helps it a ton too. Could be better if the GBA soundchip didn’t hold it back.

39. Sonic Rush - Wrapped in Black


Get rid of the vocals and this is one of the best songs in the series. But really, come on. Were those vocals really so vital that they had to be included? They’re so pointless and annoying at times. Overall quality takes a massive hit, but I still enjoy this one.

Cool song.

37. Donkey Kong 64 - Mad Jack Boss Battle


Pretty intense song. Really gives off a manic feeling.

This song isn’t bad at all. Actually far from it! But really, considering how epic it attempts to present itself as, it falls short. The vocals aren’t anything special. They just feel kinda like a pointless add-on. The guitar parts are well done, but ultimately unmemorable. Still a good song though.

First Xenosaga didn’t have a very impressive soundtrack (The hell Mitsuda?), but this is one of the few really good ones.

This sounds like a song that came from FF. And a pretty damn good one. Mystery Dungeon has quite a lot of great music, and this is no exception.
