I don't know a single person who likes Nickleback... Like seriously, I know people with god awful opinions, one of my best friends thought Legion was a good movie and Mind of Mencia was a great show and I still don't know anyone who likes them.

It's the law of popularity. The more popular something is, the louder and more extreme the hate towards it will be. There are probably a ton of bands worse than Nickelback, but most people wouldn't know what they are, so few would care if you said something like, "Negasonic Potato Junction is the worst band in the world."

Yes and no. I can say with relative certainty that Nickelback is the single most dull musical act I've ever heard, to the point where I find their music genuinely upsetting to listen to. It's really, really bad.

At least when someone actually sucks at the technical aspect of music, you get outsider music, which can be cool.

I still consider "How You Remind Me" to be the last great rock single. Emo kids need to step up their game. >_>

Edit: That does mean I think everything they've released since then has been pretty boring.
