It's not that I can't believe the GTA4 stack is that large, it's that it seems that there was barely any talking in GTA3.

Granted, I never played GTA3... but if the diaogue was anywhere near as much as what they had in Vice City or San Andreas, that script looks impossibly small.

The cutscenes were pretty brief in GTA3 and Vice City. Plus GTA3 has fewer missions. I can't quite tell but looks like there might around 30 to 40 pages for GTA3, makes sense.

well GTA3's main character was a mute so most missions just involved about a paragraph of speech at the beginning from the mission giver and that was it.

GTAIV's script length comes from it's pedestrian conversation variety. I seem to recall the amount of pedestrian VAs listed in the credits being mind boggling.
