Just finished AGE 13.

Yikes.

That was a great episode through and through. Everything from the pre-battle build up to the actual battle itself was fantastic.

The only sucky thing is that Yurin is pretty much confirmed to die next episode. Not sure what Desil and the UE are planning, but it involves her for sure.

Just started Gundam X.

This show is going to be cool. Basically the backstory has A LOT of parallels to the OYW, except that this war ended horrifically. Over all, the first episode was like Mad Max meets Gundam, which is A-Ok with me.

I already love Garrod. He is more Judau than Amuro. In other words, he's a laid back dude who likes to have fun, but can still get crap done when he needs to. Not entirely sure what to think of Tiffa yet. She's kind of creepy to me. But that is no doubt intentional. She obviously has some sort of newtype powers. Their escape from the mobile suits reminded me of Flit and Yurin, with her giving him directions and stuff.

The Vultures. These guys are probably good guys. They don't look evil. Garrod will probably join up with them. I could be wrong and he could end up tragically slaughtering them.

Started work on the STARK JEGAN today. Work was going well until I hit a snag: The damn headset wouldn't stay on. Go so fed up that i ended up super gluing it on. That worked pretty well!

I started work on my new Garma version Zaku, its going pretty fast.

I also bought the GEXES and the AGE-1 Titus, and im thinking of grabbing one more, i keep looking for a cheap Snadrockwiththe cloak, if not ill probably settle on a Qubeley of some sort, preferably Puru 2s.

Hmm so my only debate now (since ive decided on the banshee), is whether to get the destroy mode or the unicorn mode. I have Rx0 Unicorn in Unicorn mode, so I was thinking maybe getting them to match, but Im not sure.

I am DEFINITELY getting a better quality destroy mode unicorn later on fyi.

You should get both. I plan on getting both Unicorn and Banshee in both modes.

This was the eventual plan, I just wanted to go SWANKY for the Unicorn, and I have the feeling the Banshee wont get the same treatment.

Tonight my mind was blown. I thought AGE was just subbed when they aired in Hong Kong, but tonight I tuned in and watched it and was pleasantly surprised they sub and dub it. The most surprising of all is that they did a pretty good job of matching the voice actors, though the originals are of course much better. The translation is very good too, it's pretty much 100% matching our usual sub's accuracy.

How do you like it so far? I watched it after 0079 or Zeta and found the writing and characters a breathe of fresh air. It's a shame the series was cut short; they had so much potential to work with.

The cast isn't bad. I think Flit is a pretty good protagonist.

Grodek I like, but i think it would have been neat if they had made him go "Captain Ahab" on us. Woolf is awesome and probably my favorite character in the show. Largen is whatevers. Madorna is kind of neat. Millie is neat but doesn't get much screentime. So far the best parts are when its Woolf and Flit broing it up.

So far I'm really liking X. Compared to Wing, it feels much more like a Gundam show to me. What I mean by that is that there are more series conventions in X or something. You have a ship and support crew for one thing, something Wing lacked. The X itself has a pretty neat design and so far the grunt suits have been pretty neat as well. It's a shame that I hear no kits were made of the grunts.

A Gundam series is only as strong as its grunt suits IMHO

Jamil is an Amuro? I guess i could see it, though I always thought of him as a Bright.

But yeah, I guess the Amuro comparison is more fair, since Jamil is a Newtype and former MS pilot. Man, it would have been sweet to see Amuro retire from MS pilotting to become a ship captain himself.
