Can't believe they switched back after not noticing that they got owned by a counterattack that hit everyone! And it seems they forgot they can exchange party at any place and didn't used the girls on the easy fights. I was glad to finally see Antipode, and they ruined it so fast... hope they try new parties again. Not going to complain about Bagus hidden equipment, they look behind statues, but can't imagine hidden passages, and they still have no idea Charm exists.

At least they know what Confuse does, for now. Also, Cure 1 from Barle > Cure 2 from Brog.

I was so happy when they switched Marle and Lucca in, and so sad when they failed terribly and blamed it on the ladies. You attack a guy THREE times and don't notice that you're getting hit immediately after each time? Really? You think it's just chance that he gets an attack off in between your chosen commands? Augh.

I honestly don't know if they'll ever finish the Forest sidequest though. They still don't realize that there is no "trick" to that battle and they just have to be better. The guy is fast and you can't spend 5 seconds choosing each command. I don't even understand why he's so slow when he's just following a pattern of healing with some characters and attacking with another.

Anyone else get the feeling that Patrick is reading the comments? I mean yeah, he could also just be remembering the time he played the game... but it's weird that he often has these great ideas at the start of each episode like to stop wasting ethers, checking out what Confuse does, or randomly deciding that they should level up their bench.

They also need to take off the Gold Stud off Frog and put it on Crono or Robo, they avoid using Uzzi Punch and Shock since it's too expensive but they have the answer right there. They only use Frog for Heal and Leap Slash and he spends most of his turns on normal attacks, Frog's tech aren't even that expensive without a stud.

Also really wish someone would tell them they should have used their magic tabs on Robo, he has the slowest magic stat growth so his heal beam won't keep up with the sidequest bosses without magic tabs.

In my first playthrough, I never used Confuse ever until once when I picked it on accident against Lavos. I never used Luminaire again in that fight

But it's nice to see they are trying to use other characters. Also, I don't think Barle will learn another cure spell to dual tech with Bobo for a better group heal... and they might use Brog/Bobo yet again at the boss.

The blue rock thing pissed me off too. If you just select the accessory it shows you who can use it, ugh.

That and the frenzyband. You've had the rage band this entire friggin time and treated it like a curse.

It's too bad they brought Marle instead of Ayla to Giant's Claw, if they knew they can Charm Megaelixirs off Fossil Apes they wouldn't need a healer anymore.

Seriously. At first I was getting mad at them for not using Haste, but I knew in my mind that it was useless for them because they can't choose commands enough to actually experience the speed boost. It's a good thing Patrick told him to keep the vest because they're just too slow to have been able to finish the battle any other way. I'm not sure that I've ever been hit by the fire the second time on that fight, and my dream team is Crono, Ayla and Marle... I can't stress enough how lucky they are that Chrono Trigger is the easiest of all the great SNES RPGs. I'm not sure that they would actually be able to make it through any of the SNES FFs... Not that they're "hard" games... but I'm pretty sure they'd get wrecked using the "Active" system.

Still, it's cool that they're doing the sidequests. I missed them all my first time through because Lavos turned out to be much easier than I thought he would be... I just hope they finish the game through the Black Omen when they decide to take him on. Best possible ending for a first playthrough imo.
