4 is by far the best.

1 is good for an atari game, 2 is good in that early JRPG kind of way, 3 is mess with some neat ideas, 4 is perfection.

Great game. Haven't played the rest of them because they sound like games I hate, I don't have patience for that kind of old game. PS4 has just enough modern polish (still needs a bit more!) for me to enjoy it for the things it does well.

nah, that post is a lie. like if you're talking strictly just turnbased jrpgs then okay, 3rd to CT and Lufia II. but otherwise would still put Terranigma above it, maybe TOP and SD3. better than the 3 FFs though, definitely.

still you're looking at the upper level of rpgs of that generation, and it can still hold placement in a top 15 today.
