Well fat people aren't the only ones making a move away from the more processed, empty calorie foods, either. There's still obviously demand for them, but even a small decrease I guess could be enough to break them.

Also I wonder how much several schools and other workplaces opting out of supplying their products factors into their overall sales.

I never liked Twinkies. They're just gross and weird, and not in a good way. I have a sweet tooth and like stuff that's awful for me, sure, but at least I go for high quality stuff. Why would I eat twinkies when I could get, like, freshly-baked donuts at the bakery?

this is terrible news. Drakes Cakes is owned by Hostess too. So many delicious snack cakes would be gone.

As disgusting as it sounds, deep fried twinkies are really, really good, and better than the normal versions. It crisps the bread and melts the cream, so it turns it into a sweet, hollow cracker with a sweet juice inside :3
