Alleras has a prominent widow's peak like all of Oberyn's daughters. Also has Oberyn's eyes.
One of the other Sand Snakes refers to how her little sister loves Oldtown.
Unless she returns to Dorne, theres naught I can do about Sarella save pray that she shows more sense than her sisters. Leave her to her... game. Gather up the others. I shall not sleep until I know that they are safe and under guard. -Captain of the Guards, Feast for Crows
I knew Mance was the singer the same moment they mentioned there was a singer. Actually, that's how I figured he'd infiltrate Winterfell in the first place, so I was kind of waiting for a singer to show up.

I'm midway in ADwD (just read the first Dorne episode) and if you rank Daenerys so low because of her episodes in that one, maybe you should as well exclude Tyrion. Of course, his episodes in CoK and SoS are top tier, but man... in ADwD they are simply unbearable.
In fact, I didn't even touch the book for 2 months in the part that was Quentyn > Asha > Tyrion (VII). I thought his episodes would get much better, knowing the character he meets, but I was completely wrong.
Talking about Quentyn, he must be the biggest letdown in the entire series for me (so far)

Daeny was meh before Dance, in which she was terrible all book.
Tyrion was interesting in previous books and was bad in most of Dance.

Those two (Tyrion and Daenerys) are still very likely my two favourite characters in the series... but once again, I must admit Theon steals the show. I am always looking forward to reading the next episode.
And as for Quentyn, I like nearly all the members of the Martell House, except for Doran, and I was very intrigued about him, specially knowing he is to meet Daenerys. But his episodes ended up being pointless.

Btw, is this being archived in the wiki? If not I want to keep bumping it once it's done if I've not finished DwD by then (though hopefully I will have done).

"A knight's a sword with a horse. The rest, the vows and the sacred oils and the lady's favors, they're silk ribbons tied round the sword. Maybe the sword's prettier with the ribbons hanging off it, but it will kill you just as dead. Well, bugger your ribbons, and shove your swords up your arses. I'm the same as you. The only difference is, I don't lie about what I am." - Sandor Clegane
Sandor Clegane, known colloquially as "The Hound", is a horrible, horrible man who has done unspeakable things to nearly everybody he's ever met. I'm not going to recount what he's done in the books (he's had a ton of story arcs with a bunch of different characters and if you're reading this then you've probably already read his adventures, already), but I will point out why I like him.
He hates everybody and everything so much that he just wants to escape. He hates the whole "system" of lords and knights and King's Hands and so on and so forth. He hates his entire family. He hates the Lannisters and the Starks and probably Daenerys and probably even ****ing Rickon. He is a man with a cold heart, a heart that couldn't even be warmed by the super bright sword that Beric "****ing" Dondarrion fought him with.
That scene was awesome, by the by.
So yeah, he's a jaded *******, burnt out on the world around him, wandering from place to place trying to prove his worth. That's cool. But what makes him all the cooler is the fact that half of his face is melted. See, his older brother, Gregor (it took me a while to get used to using their actual names - I got that The Mountain was The Hound's older brother, but I kept getting Sandor and Gregor confused) shoved his face into a pile of coals because he, like, talked **** or something. And then Gregor killed his dad and inherited their estate. That part's not really important for the face-melting, but I felt like I should throw it in there, regardless.
Another thing I like about The Hound is that he's a totally imposing presence. Jaime is a great swordsman, but Brienne could hold her own against him. Jorah Mormont and Barristan Selmy are both also total BAMFs, but they'd most likely get their heads crushed in by either of the Cleganes.
I want Fat Belwas to fight The Hound.

After spending a year in a dungeon, and with his hands bound together. I still think Jaime was the best swordsman in Westeros during his prime, however Selmy and Arthur Dayne were probably better in theirs.

So last night I had a dream that I was hanging out with Arya and we were at the Wall, hanging out with Jon. So Jon and Sam and Edd go up in the lift but tell us we can't go up to the top of the wall so we, like, hide in this bell? That goes to the top of the wall? And we get to the top of the wall where a bunch of Night's Watch dudes are throwing wildlings off the wall and Stannis and an Umber come up, and the Umber has taken Stannis and his whole army hostage and was making him wear a silly fool's costume. Stannis told somebody to kill Umber already, and then I woke up.
Whoa, what an awesome dream! It was pretty cool feeling like I was at the top of the wall, though.
