Fable 3: Bought my 9 year old cousin that Xbox bundle with Halo and Fable, but I took both games from it (he just wanted a Kinect). No interest at all in Halo, but I did sort of enjoy Fable 2 so I'm considering trying this out.
Darksiders: Had a $20 gift card for Futureshop that I used on this game. Heard it was an adult Zelda game, which sounds really good to me.
Another game: Still have a $25 gift card for Best Buy that I dug out of my bedroom closet the other day. Was going to spend it on a game cheap game until I grabbed one at FS. Might put the cash towards NHL 12, or keep it for a new game coming out soon.

Thinking Luigi and WAAAA > Pokemon Trainers was dumb, and Pokemon rocks. In other news, Valve is a pretty f***ing terrible company, let's be honest.
It was $20 at Future Shop. What is the game about?

El Shaddai is a DMC-esque game with Okami's art director. Has the best graphics of any game I've ever played. Everything looks like a painting and the environments are highly varied.
The DMC mechanics are really solid, though a lot less crazy than how other games use them. There are three weapons which you can steal off of enemies and there's a rock-paper scissors mechanic going on where each weapon will give you an advantage over an enemy wielding one of the other weapons, but will also give you a disadvantage against the other weapon. The stealing mechanic and the RPS mechanic keep you constantly switching your weapon type.
There's a bunch of 2d and 3d platforming sequences that aren't terribly difficult but do a great job of putting the environments on display. The artwork/environments are definitely the big thing about the game, not that the combat is inadequate or bad - it's quite good, but the art is what makes it a truly exceptional game.
