Though I'm doing a watchthrough of Buffy the Vampire Slayer / Angel and I just watched an Angel episode that I feel is applicable enough!


*Angel season 1 episode 5 spoilers*

Cordelia moves into a house, but it turns out to be haunted by the ghost of an old lady. She keeps calling Cordy a slut etc and that she's not good enough for her son, and tries killing Cordy. Angel investigates and finds out that over the last decades there have been several girls that have committed suicide in that house. The ghost tries driving Cordy to suicide too. Then there's a flashback to like 50 years ago, where the old lady has her son tied up behind a wall and she's paving a brick wall to wall him in because he was dating a hooker or something and he wanted to leave her (obviously she's crazy). As she finishes up the wall you can hear the son screaming that he's sorry and he can't breath and to let him out. Then she has a heart attack and dies.

So back to the present. Cordelia tells the ghost to **** off and get out of her house. Then Cordelia becomes possessed and picks up an appliance and starts breaking down the wall the son was buried alive behind. His skeleton is there and starts glowing. A big angry ghost comes out and annihilates the old lady ghost for killing him.

He then becomes Cordelia's friendly poltergeist roommate for the rest of the season.

Well, most hostile ghosts came into being because of a deep grudge, right? I figure at least one victim has to feel hate and resentment far worse than what the original ghost felt as they died.
