Also, it doesn't account for P3P. In the hardest difficulty (that's available from the start), your completion percentage is kicked back to 0% if you try to continue a new game from the clear file. To make matters worse, there's post-game content you can NEVER get on the highest difficulty because of it.

There are some exceptions, sure. P3P is one of them.

But still, these rules are a good baseline.

That was a really weird way to say it.

And in DMC games for instance, that sill leaves like 3-5 difficulty levels.
