Done catching up. Well, it was quicker than I thought it would be, although I'm lucky my professors aren't really strict with phones. So...Yeah, I'm not really experienced or anything, as I didn't do exceptionally well in my first/previous game, to put it lightly. However, eagles doesn't look like scum IMHO. Someone else has put it better, but his posts are convincing enough.

Don't like how quickly Kracko retracted his vote. Seems too easily trusting of Articuno's explanation of behavior he purportedly thought to be scummy. (Even if he doesn't know Luis personally, he still thought Luis was acting scummy, thus the vote.)

Scum can certainly be new, and I'm not suggesting we give cat a pass for being new. But mindless bandwagoning isn't beneficial for scum trying to avoid the lynch. That's why I'm thinking his actions are more indicative of cluelessness than of alignment.

Well, although I haven't played a lot , apparently the only newbies here other than me are cata and eagles. Meaning, everyone else should have more experience and aren't supposed to blow their cover easily if they're scum. So it's unlikely that I'd be able to spot something suspicious unless it's really obvious or someone else points it out. But if it's a scum who tries to get a townie lynched...Well, I'd feel really stupid and guilty. ...I guess I have to take risks if I want to get somewhere. But for now, I suppose I'll wait and see, perhaps read what everybody has to say. Although being too passive and just bandwagoning doesn't seem like a good way to survive either...okay, now I'm confused.
As town you don't play for yourself (...well, I suppose if you have a good power role you can be a bit more self-preservationy), you play to get scum lynched. Playing for survival is just negative and if everyone on a town does that, town will lose.
But XIII does seem a bit suspicious. If he's an experienced player, he should have known better than to let his feelings get the better of him. On the other hand, he should also know than to try to lynch without a good reason...

Right now I think I would vote Silver. Wasn't a big fan of his vote on me and I didn't think his reasoning was that sound, so I pointed it out and he then left without replying to it.

XIII is not that experienced a player compared to all of board 8 mafia.
I wasn't there for any drama with Spiral but I don't see what he's doing there as scummy (read: disingenuous). It just seems like a waste of time and slightly counterproductive.
Just be strong in your opinions, don't waver and follow your convictions through instead of playing to appease or playing not to make a mistake. "Lynch all liars" holds truth - but being deceptive as, say, a town power role has merit. You should go for people who you don't think are genuinely looking for scum.

I've already said the questioning about talking and all that seems much more like something lost Town is likely to say, partly because lost scum would already know about somewhere they could talk to people about the game outside of these topics. As for the vote-hopping, that just seems like the opposite of what new scum would do. A player that has any knowledge about mafia would know that jumping on and off votes would draw attention and would be less likely to do so as scum. For now I buy the "not used to different play styles" excuse. New-guy suspicion is good, but I tend to believe newer people are more likely to mess up with a slip or something and will be caught as scum that way.
Other thoughts from catching up: SBell doesn't entirely feel genuine to me. Jumping on Poka was weird, and weird as in even if Poka was a player I would have found that to be a strange vote. Arti vote was okay, but the whole Reg comment was felt forced when I read it.

Arti feels like typical Arti to me, which basically means a null read on him right now. The NL thing isn't surprising. The only time I've felt Arti was actively trying to contribute he was scum.
Did not like Arti's "don't think anyone is worth voting except the person who voted me" episode. Reads to me as "I'm afraid to put my fingerprints on someone".
Has XIII done anything besides tunnel Spiral?

I've only played one Mafia game before. And it ended not quite successfully for me. I got bored pretty quickly and sorta threw it away. Furthermore, I was town Jack-of-all-trade. Needless to say, everyone was really upset. But I truly regret it now.
The XIII-Spiral exchange feels weird to me on both sides. XIII's attack on Spiral was odd. It started out, as far as I can tell, as a joke vote based on a personal vendetta, which is fine. Somewhere along the way, it morphed into a more serious vote -- but XIII was vague about his reasons even while insisting that he had plenty of them. Spiral, meanwhile, didn't respond as fiercely as I would have expected. He tends to get this tone of righteous indignation. This time it felt a bit lackluster. Something seems off in that exchange between the two of them, and they've both done little else.
Meanwhile, a gnawing remnant of paranoia about Chris remains. He is confirmed dayvig. He is virtually certain not to be plum's scumbuddy, due to flavor meta and, you know, the fact that he shot him. However, given HGR's penchant for multifaction setups, I think it's too early to write Chris off as confirmed town.
Probably too early to be speculating like this, before we have any nightkills to analyze. But I would feel pretty bad if I died without saying this and then turned out to be right.

Yeah. Looks like Chris will survive for a long time, as long as the scums don't have another killer role. But what's this about multiple factions? If it targets both the town and scum, well, fine. But if it only target townies, that sucks.
I wouldn't say I'm outright suspicious of Chris, but by no means do I absolutely trust him as town now. The shot was just reckless - I find it incredibly unlikely that Chris had a solid read that plum was scum based on the four or five posts he made a couple hours into day 1, especially considering:
a) he shoots the guy for "incorrectly metagaming" him (come on, just... what?) b) he shoots someone who literally has a vote on someone who he claims to think is scum http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/8-gamefaqs-contests/61871075/689559513 "Because I think you are scummy, jdizzy" - Chris (using gamefox to quote this won't let you see that it's Chris talking to jdizzy)
Would I put it past Chris to outright shoot a scum buddy like that? Of course not. Do I think that that is what happened? I have no idea - killing your own assassin day 1 is not as detrimental to your team as bussing your own roleblocker, but man is it a role you don't want dead with powers available (presumably!)
Plus, man, was that shot early. Like, I get the value of wanting to confirm yourself on day 1 with a role like that, but when you're town with a killing role then you gotta have some patience when shooting to make an informed shot, which that wasn't. Even if Chris wants to argue that it was an informed shot (which he hasn't even taken the time to explain why he shot plum after the fact - I'd brag about how I could read someone as scum so easily after dayvigging them), then it still could have been way more informed.
I'm going to go as far as to say that even if Chris is town here, then the way he shot still wasn't a correct play, even though he killed a powerful scum role. The fact that it ended up being a good play (ignoring the fact that it gives us no indication of Chris's alignment, all things considered, imo) does not mean that it also was inherently correct, fwiw.

You opened the game by talking about a previous game and then you pretty much ridiculed the two newest and easiest targets in the game. Frankly, the fact that you like my Arti vote makes me like it a bit less.

Miller claim huh? I can buy it right now. Not familiar enough with most touhou to even consider metaing the flavor though (but I will anyways). I cant particularly think of many touhou that'd be a good miller candidate at least...
A Miller (sometimes called an Outsider) is a role or role modifier such that the player passively returns an unfavorable result (i.e. Guilty) if investigated by a Cop. So, if a Cop investigates you, you'll always look Guilty?
Then there's no use not to claim it, right? Not a major obstacle for scum if you're really a miller, and if you're really a miller...well, I guess you're helping the Cop in making his decision.
People who claim miller are always suspicious...but someone who knows Touhou should say if that character makes any sense as a miller. From this(http://touhou.wikia.com/wiki/Three_Mischievous_Fairies) it seems like Sunny does make sense as a miller. No idea how accurate that is though.
