Considering how long the average person here has been gaming, I'd be surprised/impressed if they've never even dropped a controller. A few butterfingers over the course of like 20 years is permissible.

Everything is too expensive nowadays to be throwing controllers around. I did a few times as a kid, out of anger/frustration, but I broke that tendency pretty quickly. Very rarely I'll get really frustrated and toss my controller to the side, so that it lands on the cushioned couch that I'm sitting on.

I generally throw things when I'm angry (Has to be like maximum anger though; that's only happened...maybe two or three times in all the times I've been gaming), and so when it's a controller in hand, well, I can't help it.

I always throw it into a pillow, though, to make sure it doesn't get damaged.

actually now that I think of it, I did throw my gameboy color once.

I was angry that it wasn't working, so I just threw it against the wall with all my might.

Started working again and still works to this day

Only time I got mad was when my SC 3 game data got corrupt but I didn't throw my controller.... I threw the mem card that had only the SC 3 data on it. I did drop my contoller/handhelds at least once though on accident and the only one that ended messed up was my Gamecube controller.

Pretty sure a lot of the people who voted the third option would have grown out of intentionally throwing their controllers now. I would never do it anymore (despite getting extremely angry with some games), but I did fairly often before I was like 13/14 and learned how to control anger better.
