Changes are already happening. Hybrid cars are a lot more common now, and SUVs have fallen in popularity (except the more modern, fuel efficient ones, I guess). Cheapest I saw today was $3.48, but most were in the $3.50's, and the Shell (which is the closest one to my house, unfortunately) was like $3.64.
