Sony development teams in the US and UK are helping Team Ico finish up long-in-the-offing PlayStation 3 adventure The Last Guardian, Sony has confirmed.
Speaking in an interview with Wired, Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida explained that Sony Santa Monica - the team behind God of War - is among the studios offering help.
"Well, you know, it's not just Santa Monica," he said.
"We have great tech people in Worldwide Studios. We have a central tech group in the US and the UK so we are giving them whatever help they need. Technically, we have the best engineers in the US and Europe, so these teams are helping them, giving advice."
Do Japanese devs not know how to do HD gaming or something. Konami has developed like... two big budget games this entire generation. Square has been barely more visible and even more disappointing. We've yet to see what Nintendo can even manage. Capcom has done well on the HD forefront, but they're also pioneering the "squeeze out every nickel" DLC one.

That's a bingo.
[Also, Japanese market is heavily biased towards handhelds these days - the 3DS will probably outsell the PS3's lifetime sales before the end of this year in Japan.]

Who knew the Rivalry Rumble would be so predictable? SuperNiceDog, that's who.
I'm not sure which game is a bigger joke at this point, The Last Guardian or Versus XIII. I'm still convinced that neither game is ever going to be released.
